Read his story:
oming to Johnson & Johnson has given me the opportunity to work in three different industries, take on numerous challenging roles and to learn new skills, all while improving the lives of people around the world. I could not have ever gotten that kind of experience elsewhere. I chose Johnson & Johnson because I wanted to join one of the top 10 pharmaceutical companies in the world. I used to think all top pharmaceutical companies were the same. I know now that simply isn’t the case.
I came to Johnson & Johnson straight out of college, and found myself immersed in doing cutting-edge research to create new products for women’s health. My work led to me being awarded three U.S. patents, and gaining great experience managing product development teams.
I never considered myself “just a scientist”, and at Johnson & Johnson I was given a chance to prove it. When I took on a new challenge and moved into portfolio management, I ended up using my analytical skills and knowledge to help the business make strategic portfolio and investment decisions.
At Johnson & Johnson, there seems to be no limit to what I can do with my career. Building on my management experiences from working in consumer products and pharmaceuticals sectors, I expanded my knowledge of the healthcare industry by joining our medical devices sector. If you think about it, I’ve had the opportunity to work at equivalent of what’s considered world’s top consumer products company, top pharmaceuticals/biotech company and largest medical devices company at the same time, but stay with the same company!
