Our business unit is the establishment of a new Janssen Supply Chain Lentiviral Vector (LVV) production facility in Sassenheim, the Netherlands.

This biologics manufacturing facility is intended to become a key supply option for commercial LVV in support of the global Janssen BCMA CAR-T program for multiple myeloma, a disease affecting ~160,000 patients annually.     You will be responsible for:

    • manufacturing Lenti Viral Vectors through processes like cell expansion and purification under GMP and BSL2 conditions.
    • Collaborate with the Upstream Processing (USP) team to culture cells, supervise cell health, and prepare transfection mixes.
    • Work with the Downstream Processing (DSP) team on product purification, using techniques such as ion exchange chromatography.
    • Support the Fill & Finish department in the final filling, labeling, and storage of products, while driving continuous improvement and training initiatives.
    Qualifications/Requirements
    • Preferably an MBO or HBO in biotechnology, biochemistry, biomedicine, process technology (or equivalent education).
    • 1-3 years’ experience in a biotechnology or biopharmaceutical industry environment as a manufacturing operator, or willing to learn on the job.
    • Preferred experience of 1 year in a BSL2 environment, with expertise in cell culture and virus propagation (USP) or purification (DSP) or Fill & Finish (F&F), GMP and EHS standards.
    • Proficient in English, both verbal and in written (preferably also in Dutch).

    • High degree of accuracy, initiative, and independence.
