Summary
Manages other Managers, Supervisors, and/or individual contributors in a matrix environment, and is accountable for conducting effective performance management and meaningful career development conversations. Allocates accountability for departmental strategic planning initiatives, partnering cross-functionally, including global strategic marketing and corporate development teams to develop and deploy demand strategies. Creates vision for the long-range strategic planning process, utilizing the departmental capacity management process to ensure deliverables are sufficient over the course of the strategic horizon to meet customer needs.

Ensures the governance of the department's vision for managers to champion and carry out strategic and corporate development initiatives, from initial planning and validation, through project review, analysis, and final implementation.
Accountable for own department's strategic planning goals, targets, and objectives to present to key stakeholders and board members.
Approves organizational departmental activities, ensuring that all key performance measures are aligned to ensure critical milestones and deadlines are met for customer’s specific operational needs and requirements.
Creates and delegates action plans for comprehensive strategic planning management processes, procedures, and tools in leveraging industry-proven best practices.
Responsible for managing operational aspects of their team (e.g., workflow, performance, and compliance), as well as ensuring achievement of team goals within established timelines and budgets.
Integrates Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team goals and decision making.
