The Program
The Ethicon Engineering Development Program (EDP) provides new college graduates with opportunities to make real-world contributions to the surgical devices of the future. Located at Ethicon's Cincinnati campus, the program offers multidisciplinary rotations in areas such as medical devices design, manufacturing, quality and sustaining engineering across all stages of the new product development process. Upon successful completion of the two- to three-year program, EDP associates will continue in challenging engineering roles and help develop tomorrow’s surgical innovations.
The Opportunity
As an associate in the EDP, you’ll:
Are You Ready to Make a Difference?
EDP participants will learn what it takes to be a world-class engineer—and how to deliver value—through hands-on experience designing, testing and manufacturing cutting-edge surgical devices. While accelerating your career path, we'll also focus on your personal development through mentorship, networking opportunities, access to an alumni network and so much more.
Considering a Co-Op Opportunity?
Many of the associates hired into the Engineering Development Program started out on their paths by participating in Ethicon’s Co-Op Program. This program, which spans from three to five months, offers enrolled college students the ability to make real-world contributions to the surgical devices of the future.
Our ideal candidates have strong technical skill sets and demonstrated track records of success in previous co-op, intern or work experiences. They must have a passion for—and advanced knowledge of—leading and emerging technologies. In addition to strategic mindsets, they should possess exceptional leadership, communication and interpersonal skills. Finally, they should have the ability to thrive in highly complex, global work environments and excel at taking initiative, setting priorities and exceeding goals.
