We are searching for the best talent for EH&S Intern to be in Santa Clara, CA.
Purpose: The Facilities and Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) departments play a vital role in day-today operations, employee safety, and environmental protection. We are looking for an intern to assist in supporting EH&S programs and help foster a proactive EH&S culture. The intern will collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote compliance, ensure adherence to standards, and drive continuous improvement
- Internship typical term is 10-12 weeks May to August, 2025
- Full time requirement (40 hours per week)
You will be responsible for:
Support the implementation of EH&S policies and programs to ensure compliance with local and corporate standards.
- Assist in collecting, analyzing, and preparing monthly safety reports and environmental metrics.
- Assist in conducting EH&S inspections, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
- Assist in monitoring hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal programs.
- Assist in the development of EHS communications.
- Participate in the development and review of employee training material for various safety and environmental competencies.
- Review and provide suggestions to enhance our Facilities and EH&S systems.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at accredited University is required.
- Minimum GPA of 2.8 is required.
- Undergraduate full-time student attending an accredited university with a major emphasis in Occupational Health & Safety, Public Heath, Industrial Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong follow through in time management, attention to detail, and reliability.
- Able to work independently with management guidance or as part of a team.
- Willingness to ask for support when needed to complete a task.
- Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.
The anticipated base pay for this position is between $22.00/hr and $51.50/hr, but will be based on candidate's program year, discipline, degree and/or experience. This position is overtime eligible. Intern/Co-ops may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs such as medical insurance, sick time, holiday pay, and the Company’s consolidated retirement plan in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans. Housing stipend will be offered for those that qualify. This position is ineligible for severance.
