Job Description:

ROLE OVERVIEW

  • Develop and execute marketing plans, brand strategies, and sales forecasts for Ethicon Endo Surgery.

  • Lead the launch of new products and drive the penetration of focused products.

  • Implement brand strategies and make necessary adjustments.

  • Establish partnerships with medical societies, key opinion leaders, and other non-clinical stakeholders.

  • Develop strategies to identify market opportunities by setting priorities and recommending processes for gathering intelligent information.

  • Collaborate across various internal enabling functions.

Key interactive stakeholders:

  • Marketing partners (local & regional teams).

  • Sales team.

  • Market access.

  • IT team.

  • QA, RA, SC team.

  • Sales Operation team.

  • Market research agencies.

Specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Develop and execute a market business plan that identifies metrics, targets, strategies, tactics, and budget to meet corporate procedure growth objectives.

  • Analyze local market trends, competition, and customer needs using available data.

  • Evaluate key performance indicators and financial reports, including budget, commercial policy, price, net sales, and investment levels, and suggest improvements.

  • Guide advertising agencies in product and packaging design, advertising, tradeshows, point of purchase, costing, and pricing to ensure alignment with overall product strategy.

  • Develop new concepts and approaches for professional advertising and promotional plans.

  • Collaborate with discovery, development, and marketing functions to identify new targets through systematic assessment of market trends, unmet customer needs, and competitive activity.

  • Create and execute clinical & professional education programs designed to teach procedural awareness, procedural skills, and the safe and effective use of products.

  • Conduct marketing presentations and follow-up activities to build market-level awareness and adoption.

  • Engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and hospital marketing and administrative personnel to present marketing programs and procedure expansion solutions.

  • Develop and manage relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) as partners in professional education and deliver improved patient outcomes.

  • Oversee extensive market research and test market activities.

  • Support market development activities for emerging procedures.

  • Identify regional and national institutions that serve as centers of excellence for various specialties, diseases, and procedures.

  • Establish key strategic partnerships across a wide range of stakeholders, including surgeons, nurses, referring physicians, hospital administration, societies, and program administrators.

  • Maintain a deep knowledge of products and procedures.

  • Assist the Business Unit Manager (BUM) in developing marketing strategies for the franchise.

  • Forecast demand and participate in the review of sales forecasts for the assigned product line.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • University/bachelor’s degree Medical, Pharmaceutical, or Marketing.

  • Have at least 5 years’ experience in Sales/Marketing in Medical Device/Pharmaceutical Industry (priority for Medical Device).

  • English: Fluently speaking, reading & writing.

  • Required soft skills: Presentation skill, selling skill and good at computer skills including Excel, MS Word, and Power Point.
