We are currently recruiting for an IT Sr Software Engineer SAP– FI to be part of a fast-paced, innovative and highly visible team implementing projects/enhancements within Deliver areas for the J&J organization in Latin America.
As a SAP-FI you will be responsible for projects, enhancements and service requests delivery. The person will take in the user requirements and functional and co-ordinate the technical and functional design, development, configuration, test, cut-over activities, implementation and support, translating business needs into solutions, in Finance and Tax areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- As a SAP-FI Sr engineer you will deliver projects, enhancements and support for Finance.
- Build functional/technical specifications and review technical designs created in the SAP-FI modules or related to interfaces to legacy applications.
- Provide mentorship to other internal team members and/or offshore teams on service and projects deliveries related.
- Analyze business needs, develop/propose solutions and estimate/quote projects
- Manage the implementation of change requests, ensuring that these changes do not disrupt existing functionality on these productive clients.
- Ensures Regression Testing is planned appropriately for solution.
- Reviews Data and Security Requirements for the User Story during Sprint Planning.
- Works with Testing, Software Quality Assurance and IT Risk Assurance services to ensure requirements are met according to SOX or GxP.
Qualifications
Education:
- B.A./B.S. degree preferably in Finance, Information Technology or Business.
Experience and Skills:
Required:
- Excellent knowledge of the SAP FI and sub modules (FI-AA, FI-AP, FI-AR, FI-GL, TAX) and experience working on global teams.
- Strong financial business knowledge.
- Fluent knowledge of English desirable
- Experience in reviewing functional specifications, coordinating technical design and developments in the SAP-FI space and interfaces to legacy applications such as Ariba and Concur
- Comprehend different architectural view-points and identify/understand dependencies
- Knowledge and experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
Preferred:
- Advanced knowledge of Spanish.
- Previous experience with SAP FSCM and SAP Central Finance
- Previous experience with SAP CO.
- ABAP skills for debugging
- Experience with SAP Solution Manager - Service Desk and CHARM modules.
- Design and build high-performing and secure software solutions according to the customer needs with given tools and languages.
- Apply leading software development practices and standards to build robust software.
