The Sr. Manager, Product Management is responsible for representing the E2E Supply Chain in the development and commercialization activities for New Product Development of surgical instruments including but not limited to:
The integration of New Products into manufacturing through the various steps of the Stage Gate Development Process. This includes but is not limited to the following:
Capacity/COGS/Gross Profit ownership
Leading the component supplier and manufacturing site selection
Capital Management (Forecasting, Approval, Allocation and Execution) -
Driving rapid qualification and stabilization of new products and processes
Phase in/phase out
Escalation management
Supply chain interruption management
Developing and executing strategies and tactics for the identification and implementation of robust new product supply chains that are ready for growth and equipped to create world-class experiences for our customers.
Leading the improvement or identification of manufacturing technologies that enable the development of new products.
Representing the Voice of Supply Chain on one or more New Product Development projects with functional responsibility for Supply Chain deliverables. You will be accountable to lead the team through the assessment of design for manufacturability, design for assembly and production stabilization agreement.
Talent development included but not limited to coaching, mentoring, or formal performance management
Qualifications:
A minimum of a B.S. is required. A B.S. in engineering or related field is preferred.
Advanced Engineering degree or MBA preferred.
A minimum of 8 or more years in a medical device or regulated industry is required.
7 or more years direct technical service & / or engineering support to manufacturing preferred.
7 or more years in development & introduction of new products preferred.
Key Skill and Job Requirements:
Experience in the new product development, required.
Experience in life cycle engineering (maintained design intent), preferred
Certification in Black Belt DMAIIC preferred; GB DMADVV preferred, GB in Lean preferred
5 years of significant Project Management experience required
Ability to balance triple constraint (time, cost and scope) required
Strategic planning/portfolio management preferred
PMP, FPx, and/or Agile certification preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge in end to end supply chain management (Plan, Source, Make, Deliver), preferred
CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional - APICS) preferred
Strong business acumen required
