Job Description:

Business Partner – Pricing & HEOR

The Business Partner – Pricing & HEOR plays a critical role in ensuring the strategic alignment and execution of pricing, HTA and health economics initiatives within their assigned countries. This position acts as the primary link between the Center of Excellence (CoE) and local market access teams, ensuring CoE deliverables support market access strategies and broader business objectives.

This position requires a strong understanding of local healthcare regulations, reimbursement landscapes, and pricing dynamics while ensuring compliance with company policies and external regulatory requirements. The Business Partner must effectively collaborate with local market access leaders, regional leadership, and cross-functional teams to generate value-driven access deliverables.

This role requires strong leadership, strategic influence, and ownership. Business Partners are expected to drive impactful discussions, proactively challenge assumptions, and mentor peers and local teams while upholding high-performance standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Business Partnering & Leadership

  • Act as the primary liaison between the CoE and country market access teams for pricing, HTA & HEOR matters, ensuring alignment with regional and global priorities.
  • Lead strategic discussions by proactively identifying challenges and opportunities, ensuring CoE deliverables are designed to maximize impact.
  • Demonstrate ownership over strategic initiatives, anticipating potential roadblocks and providing well-thought-out solutions to drive business decisions.
  • Inspire and influence both local teams and regional peers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

2. Pricing & Market Access Strategy

  • Provide direction and support during the development of business cases for new pricing submissions and inline product pricing adjustments.
  • Ensure pricing strategies are aligned with regional and global policies while being adaptable to local market conditions.
  • Collaborate with local teams to ensure timely execution of pricing strategies, approvals, and negotiations with payers.
  • Actively contribute to pricing committee discussions, providing data-driven recommendations and challenging assumptions when needed.

3. Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR)

  • Guarantee in scope CoE deliverables in alignment with country-specific requirements.
  • Partner with local teams to ensure the utilization of CoE deliverables in payer negotiations and HTA submission
  • Assist in responding to health technology assessment (HTA) submissions, payers' requirements, and reimbursement negotiations.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Governance

  • Work closely with the local and regional market access, regulatory, medical affairs, and commercial teams as needed to drive cross-functional alignment.
  • Represent the local needs and insights in regional discussions, ensuring country-specific challenges are considered in strategic decisions.
  • Take initiative to contribute beyond direct responsibilities, identifying ways to enhance CoE effectiveness and regional impact.
  • Support training initiatives to strengthen pricing, HEOR, and RWE capabilities across teams.

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Pharmacy, Medicine, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Market Access, Pricing, HEOR, or RWE within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Latin American healthcare systems, pricing & reimbursement frameworks, and HTA processes.
  • Experience developing and defending pricing business cases and conducting health economic evaluations.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a matrix environment, influencing without direct authority.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish (Portuguese is a plus).

Preferred:

  • Advanced degree (MSc, MBA, PhD) in Health Economics, Public Health, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in payer negotiations, pricing governance, or regulatory pricing submissions.
  • Knowledge of real-world data sources and their application in market access strategies.
