The Account Representative is responsible for promoting and communicating the benefits of the Ethicon Advanced Surgery Healing portfolio in order to drive sales results. They serve as the main point of contact between the company and its customers and have a number of responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for achieving sales goals in the geography of responsibility
  • Use consultative selling techniques to identify potential sales opportunities within the account.
  • Support the surgical team during surgical procedures.
  • Maintain a personal relationship with clients, negotiating prices, terms, and other conditions directly with the client
  • Educate customers on all wound closure, surgical infection, and hemostats products to optimize effective use by providing technical and clinical information and in-service trainings.
  • Prepare, plan, and implement trainings and product demonstrations internally.
  • Keep up to date with the latest clinical data supplied by the company and interpret, present and discuss this data with healthcare professionals during presentations
  • Analyze data from company systems. Responsible for analyzing the market in which he works: optimization of territory plans by constantly monitoring market information, use of data systems to execute analysis on accounts/costs and making decisions of impact on the accounts.
  • Monitor competitor activity and competitor products.
  • Keep detailed records of all contacts and activity logs on a weekly basis
  • Stay informed about health services activities

Requirements:

  • University degree in natural sciences or neurosciences (i.e. medicine, psychology, chemistry, biology, pharmacy) or similar qualification or experience.
  • Highly motivated and goal-oriented with a proven track record in sales
  • Excellent sales, negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to build productive professional business relationships
  • Prioritization, time management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the needs of the audience
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
  • Intermediate English
  • Highly preferred:
  • 2-4 years of experience in medical devices.
  • Experience working in sales in the medical device sector. Experience working in the surgical specialties of colorectal, bariatric and thoracic surgery will be valued.
  • Experience working with highly complex technical systems and/or working in a critical patient care environment.
