We are searching for the best talent for Manager, Transportation Procurement (12 Months) , to be based in Sao Paulo or Sao Jose dos Campos, Brazil.
Purpose:
This role manages the development of category strategy and sourcing of Transportation services for all Johnson & Johnson business segments for LATAM. Role requires lead interactions with strategic suppliers to build relationships, data review and analysis, supplier performance governance and negotiations. The position involves providing clear communication and precise guidance for sourcing activities with internal customers and colleagues, fostering a positive working environment for the professionals and suppliers involved. The position must shape, connect and lead resources to deliver on key projects.
You will be responsible for:
- Develop and drive the Procurement vision for, with and through the stakeholder community.
- Developing the vision, strategy and implementation plan for a specific category or categories of spend that will effectively meet the long-range requirements of the business partners and deliver the maximum value for J&J
- Interface directly with CEO’s and other supplier leadership to assure alignment of JNJ’s objectives are met, including quality, reliability, innovation and cost.
- Understands operational considerations. Identifies business demand requirements and partners with Business Engagement Leads to deliver annual value improvements and drives competitive advantage.
- Understand long range requirements of the business partners and engage in strategic planning and partnering to ensure alignment
- Demonstrated project management and leadership experience in leading cross functional/cross company projects is required
- Deliver on financial, service, reliability, quality, innovation, and growth commitments
- Build and maintain relationships throughout JNJ that results in dynamic interactive dialogue on a broad range of perspectives and information critical to the development of optimal approaches and solutions
- Develop deep supplier relationships with strategic suppliers to include data review and analysis, performance management and development and improvement of end-to-end value, and bring innovation to the business
- Identify, develop and direct the implementation of Procurements goals and category strategies, based on deep subject matter expertise and an informal understanding of industry/market dynamics
- Escalate issues that may impact the Transportation Procurement organization.
Required Qualifications:
- Prior work experience in a Logistics, Procurement or Sourcing environment with thorough understanding of logistics operations – transportation services.
- Knowledge of healthcare and/or logistics industry / logistics service providers.
- Strong Leadership, Influencing, Collaboration and Communication/Presentation skills are required.
- Able to prioritize requests and propose cost effective/customer focused alternatives when necessary.
- Pro-active with the ability to show creativity/innovation in developing new approaches and resolving issues.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and facilitate coordination of large matrixed and/or virtual teams.
- Well organized, highly numerate with strong attention to detail and project management skills.
- Strong analytical and data management skills. Highly proficient in Excel/Knowledge or Sourcing Tools (e.g., Scout).
- Self-motivated with capability of working independently and taking ownership of deliverables.
- Fluent in Spanish and English (written & spoken) with excellent communication & negotiation skills (written & verbal).
- Change management and process/continuous improvement expertise.
- Strong Project Management skills.
- Strong level of proficiency with core Procurement skills (e.g., supplier management and performance, supply market analysis, Category Management, Procurement Excellence, etc.)
- Strong level of credibility with internal customers, and with the supplier community
- Ability to influence and understand differing needs of stakeholders (e.g., businesses, Procurement LT, Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain)
Preferred Related Industry Experience:
Experienced professional with business experience in multiple roles across a variety of functional specialties including general management, R&D, Marketing, Supply Chain or a Technical filed with at least 3+ years within a Procurement environment
