We are searching for the best talent for Cybersecurity GRC Intern to be in Santa Clara, CA.
Purpose: As an IT Compliance Intern, you will gain practical experience in supporting and enhancing our IT compliance program. You will collaborate closely with our compliance team to implement control frameworks, assess and test controls for their effectiveness, and work with management to ensure regulatory compliance. This internship offers valuable exposure to various facets of IT compliance in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Internship typical term is 10-12 weeks May to August, 2025
- Full time requirement (40 hours per week)
You will be responsible for:
1. Support Control Framework Implementation:
- Assist the IT Compliance Manager in implementing control frameworks.
- Collaborate with management to ensure controls are effectively integrated into operational processes.
- Assist in maintaining and enforcing IT security policies
2. Control Assessment and Testing:
- Assess and test controls for appropriate design and operating effectiveness.
- Document and report findings to the IT Compliance Manager.
3. Documentation and Reporting:
- Assist in the development and revision of compliance policies and procedures.
- Document IT processes, procedures, and configurations.
- Draft summaries of results and present them as needed to stakeholders.
4. Data Analytics & Research:
- Analyze compliance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Conduct research on regulatory updates and changes.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at accredited University is required.
- Minimum GPA of 2.8 is required.
- Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program like Information Systems (MIS), Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Business Administration, Risk Management, or related.
- Basic understanding of IT systems and processes.
- Relevant coursework in audit, compliance, internal controls, IT governance, risk management, or forensic accounting is highly valued.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Certifications such as CISA, CPA, CIA, or CRISC are a plus.
- Eagerness to learn and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
- Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.
The anticipated base pay for this position is between $22.00/hr and $51.50/hr, but will be based on candidate's program year, discipline, degree and/or experience. This position is overtime eligible. Intern/Co-ops may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs such as medical insurance, sick time, holiday pay, and the Company’s consolidated retirement plan in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
