DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Manager, Analytics & Modeling.
Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. Job Overview
The Manager, Analytics & Modeling is responsible for leading advanced analytics and modeling capabilities that enable data‑driven decision‑making across commercial and operational functions. This role develops and applies analytical models, forecasts, and insights to support strategic planning, performance optimization, and business growth. The position partners closely with cross‑functional leaders to translate complex data into actionable recommendations, making a direct impact on customer experience, efficiency, and business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and application of analytics and modeling solutions to support strategic and operational decision‑making.
Design and maintain predictive, financial, or operational models to assess performance, risks, and opportunities.
Translate complex data sets into clear insights, recommendations, and executive‑ready reporting.
Partner with Commercial, Finance, Operations, Customer Service, and Digital teams to align analytics with business priorities.
Monitor key performance indicators and trends to inform forecasting, planning, and optimization efforts.
Lead or support analytics‑driven initiatives that improve efficiency, customer experience, and financial outcomes.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and adherence to governance and internal control standards.
Coach and develop analysts or project teams contributing to analytics and modeling work.
Qualifications
Education
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
Preferred: Master’s degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent) with a quantitative focus.
Experience and Skills
Required:
6–8 years of progressive experience in analytics, modeling, business intelligence, or related functions.
Demonstrated experience developing analytical models and translating data into business insights.
Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
Experience working with large data sets and analytics or reporting tools.
Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Proven ability to manage priorities and deliver results in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment.
Preferred:
Experience in a regulated industry such as medical devices, healthcare, or life sciences.
Familiarity with forecasting, scenario modeling, or advanced statistical techniques.
Experience with BI, data visualization, or advanced analytics platforms.
Experience supporting commercial, customer operations, or supply chain analytics.
Knowledge of continuous improvement or operational excellence methodologies.
Other
Language: English (required).
Travel: Up to 20%, primarily domestic.
Certifications: Analytics, data science, or finance certifications (preferred).

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
Vacation –120 hours per calendar year
Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year
Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year
Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
