DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a(n) Sr. Manager, APAC China, FP&A Intl.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.

Job Overview

This role serves as a technology product owner within Finance Operations, responsible for enabling and optimizing enterprise finance applications that support critical financial processes across DePuy Synthes. The Manager, TPO Finance Operations partners closely with Finance stakeholders, IT delivery teams, and external vendors to translate business needs into scalable, compliant, and high‑performing technology solutions. This position plays a key role in driving digital enablement, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement across finance platforms, with direct impact on financial accuracy, controls, and decision‑making and reports into the DePuy Synthes Technology organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the product roadmap and lifecycle for assigned finance applications, ensuring alignment with Finance Operations strategy and business priorities.

  • Act as the primary liaison between Finance stakeholders and IT delivery teams to gather requirements, prioritize features, and translate needs into actionable product backlogs.

  • Lead planning, delivery, and deployment of enhancements and system changes, ensuring solutions meet functional, technical, and compliance requirements.

  • Partner with Finance, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure systems support internal controls, audit readiness, and regulatory obligations.

  • Monitor application performance and user experience, driving continuous improvement through data‑driven insights and feedback.

  • Coordinate with vendors and managed service providers to ensure service levels, issue resolution, and roadmap alignment.

  • Support change management, testing, and user adoption activities for new capabilities and process improvements.

  • Ensure adherence to enterprise IT standards, security policies, and SDLC practices.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Information Technology, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.

Experience and Skills

Required:

  • 6-8 years of relevant work experience in IT, enterprise applications, or finance systems roles, aligned to a manager‑level position.

  • Experience serving as a product owner or lead for finance‑related enterprise applications (e.g., ERP, financial planning, accounting, or close systems).

  • Strong understanding of Finance Operations processes and their supporting technologies.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technology solutions and prioritized backlogs.

  • Experience working with cross‑functional stakeholders, including Finance, IT, and external partners.

  • Proven analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience with large‑scale ERP platforms and integrated finance ecosystems.

  • Prior experience in a regulated or complex global organization.

  • Familiarity with Agile or product‑based delivery models.

  • Experience managing vendors or system integrators.

  • Exposure to finance transformation or digital enablement initiatives.

Other:

  • Language: English proficiency required.

  • Travel: Up to 10% domestic travel, as needed.

  • Certifications: Product Owner, Agile, or Finance Systems certifications preferred but not required.
