DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a(n) Sr. Manager, APAC, FP&A Intl, located in Singapore, Central Singapore.
Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Job Overview
This role serves as a senior finance partner supporting the APAC business within DePuy Synthes. The Sr. Manager, APAC, FP&A Intl provides strategic financial leadership through planning, forecasting, performance management, and decision support. This position plays a critical role in driving profitable growth, improving financial visibility, and supporting business leaders with high‑quality insights to enable informed decision‑making across a complex, fast‑growing region.
Key Responsibilities
Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning activities for the APAC business.
Provide strategic financial analysis and insights to regional and commercial leadership to support business decisions and growth initiatives.
Partner closely with cross‑functional stakeholders, including Commercial, Supply Chain, and Operations, to drive financial performance and accountability.
Monitor business performance, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend corrective actions to achieve financial targets.
Lead month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end financial reviews, including variance analysis and management reporting.
Support investment analysis, business cases, and strategic initiatives across the APAC China portfolio.
Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, policies, and reporting requirements.
Coach and develop finance team members, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline (required).
MBA, Master’s degree, or professional finance qualification (preferred).
Experience and Skills
Required:
Typically 8-10 years of progressive experience in financial planning, analysis, or commercial finance roles, with experience at a manager or senior manager level.
Strong business partnering experience supporting senior leaders in a matrixed, multinational organization.
Demonstrated ability to lead complex planning and forecasting processes in a dynamic business environment.
Advanced financial modeling, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate financial data into clear business insights.
Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
Preferred:
Prior experience supporting APAC markets.
Experience within medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or a regulated healthcare environment.
People management experience, including coaching and developing high‑performing teams.
Exposure to transformation initiatives, business integrations, or organizational change.
CPA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent professional certification.
Other:
Language requirements: Fluency in English is required;
Travel: Up to 20–30% international travel within the APAC region.
Certifications: CPA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent (preferred).
