Job responsibilities
Sales forecasting
own and drive short range financial planning incl. forecasting and business planning (BP), including storytelling towards Senior Management
articulate brands key business questions based on data driven decisions
ensure continuity and follow-up in terms of assumptions (on Sales drivers specific to therapeutic areas/on competition, on launches, on Risks /Opps) across planning cycles
own & understand forecasting models, collaborate on the models with EMEA/create and maintain high quality supportive analytics
Constantly scan Data environment to fill internal models with best-in-class data from the market. Actively manages Data Suppliers in quality/sustainability standards
support IBP, closely aligned with forecasting
Insights Generation & Market research
generate insights according to local Healthcare environment
synthetize & bring insights on the country brand teams agenda, collaborate on insights across functions. Make insights actionable and drive execution upon findings
look for insights beyond BI function, where data of interest could be triangulated (x-functional, x-country, across different channels (MR/adboards/consultancies/Market Access evaluations/field insights)
competitive intelligence: ensure CI knowledge is reflected in local tactics & strategies across different data driven decisions on commercial execution /on field facing resourcing/on products features& positioning
fill knowledge gaps with necessary market research, select MR suppliers, and feed insights across planning cycles & into executional tactics

own analytical elements of strategic projects (resource allocation, go to market, customers segmentation, field force effectiveness, digital engagement monitoring)

build analytics to understand business opportunities (sizes of market segments/disease pathways influencing patients pools etc)
own analytical element of go to market evaluations, global filing and launch strategy assessments, Business cases (market opportunity, epidemiology, customer segmentation, resourcing, etc)
prepare pre-launch phase: initiate market research, utilize learnings from early launch countries, understand customer landscape, targeting, shape go to market model
prepare respective models for bottom up planning if EMEA models don’t exist/collaborate with EMEA in new TAs to build up local knowledge
Value add to CVT/ Commercial Leads/Comm Dir
Sparring partner to Commercial Leads/Comm Directors, active CVT member
independent perspective, enrich and challenge commercial thinking on planning, execution KPIs, insights
own brand analytics (sales, execution), including market insights on competitors
co-own Brand story with commercial, translate aligned story across org levels (local brand team, regional brand team, mid-sized markets, etc)
strong collaboration with all local brand team functions and outside of the operating company
ad Hoc requests & projects: prioritize, manage multiple high-stake projects in parallel
eliminate local non-efficient processes, drive change when needed
Simplification & Best practices & benchmarking
utilize best practices across all products/regions (e.g. apply dashboards, reports being made available, benchmarking etc)
connect with relevant benchmarking & early launch countries to leverage available data
active participation of EMEA functional (BI) network - act upon EMEA projects/dashboards
integrate new ways of working from BI reorg (reports /analytics/dashboards coming from centre of excellence etc)
Profile
Academic background / working experience in business analytics/finance/informatics
Required between 5 to 10 years BI & analytical functional experience
Deep knowledge of Pharma industry and Health Care Environment
Fluent in written and in spoken German and in English
Outstanding collaboration skills, strong growth mindset
Highly agile (mental resilience, results oriented, quick learning, change agent)
Advanced business acumen and strategic thinking
Ability to communicate at C-level
Ability to translate complex concepts into simple relevant terms
Strong analytical skills
Ability to influence stakeholders and drive recommendations
