The Director of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a senior leadership role within the technology organization, responsible for the strategic development, engineering, and operationalization of AI solutions. This position serves as a crucial bridge between the technology team, business partners in IMSC including AI and Digital Teams, and the enterprise JJT AI Leader and their team. The Director drives Technical AI innovation, ensures alignment with business objectives, and orchestrates the successful delivery of AI initiatives that create measurable business value by supporting the IMSC business AI leader. The role demands a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and exceptional interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across the organization.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
Collaborate with the business AI Leader, their team, and business partners to develop, refine, and execute an AI vision and strategy that aligns with overall enterprise objectives.
Lead the design, engineering, and operationalization of advanced AI products and solutions, ensuring scalable and seamless integration across the organization.
Partner with IMT SC and Business Data Leaders to align AI Capabilities with AI Ready Data maturity to drive deterministic outcome of AI Solutions
Collaborate with Enterprise AI Technology Teams to drive capability requirements, capability consumption and drive roadmaps, maturity and benchmarking.
Foster cross-functional collaboration by bridging departmental gaps, facilitating communication, and ensuring alignment of AI initiatives with diverse business units.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, partners, research institutes.
Implement and evolve AI governance practices and policies, ensuring compliance with regulatory and ethical standards (e.g., EU AI Act, GDPR, CCPA), and chairing or supporting the AI governance board as needed.
Be an active partner and contributor to IMSC One Digital program.
Manage AI project portfolios and budgets, oversee resource allocation, and establish transparent evaluation and management practices to track business value and ROI.
Drive AI literacy and change management programs across the enterprise, supporting business transformation and workforce enablement.
Lead the decision-making process for AI architecture, platform selection, and build/buy/blend strategies in collaboration with the business AI Leader.
Support the development and implementation of responsible AI practices, ensuring data privacy, model explainability, fairness, and ethical use of AI technologies.
Mentor and lead multidisciplinary AI and technology teams, fostering a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous improvement.

$164,000.00 - $282,900.00Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.
Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
