We are searching for the best talent for an Associate Director, Strategic Accounts Business Development. This role is remote within the continental USA, preferred residence close to an airport as the role requires up to 50% domestic travel.

Purpose: The Associate Director, Business Development, drives business growth through developing strategically aligned relationships with customers and provides cross-functional leadership across customer teams and projects. This individual will have responsibility for delivery of financial goals including topline sales, bottom line income, share and individual responsibility for managing investments to budget and maximizing return on account partnerships.

You will be responsible for:

  • Develop strategies to optimize key partnerships in the rapidly evolving Optometric industry
  • Drive innovative solutions and partnerships within specific customers and across channels
  • Anticipate customer needs, marketplace evolutions and competitive threats
  • Develop solutions focused on meeting emerging customer and industry trends such as:
    • Scaling Johnson & Johnson Vision (JJV) eCommerce solutions, particularly in large, category-leading marketplace platforms:
      • Drive strategic plans for category growth initiatives, leveraging technology and joint strengths
      • Manage overall partnerships to include pricing, customer service policies, incentives, marketing services, rebates, data management, etc.
      • Partner with Consumer Media to drive Performance Marketing strategies, tactics and be accountable for results
      • Shape and influence go-to-market strategies
      • Drive business results through clearly defined KPIs
    • Supply chain solutions to drive efficiencies at Customer Headquarters and customer locations
    • Lead and develop opportunities with third-party organizations to increase customer value
  • Connect JJV digital capabilities with customer e-commerce capabilities to shape and deliver joint connected commerce (omnichannel) goals and objectives

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required. MBA is preferred.
  • A minimum of 8+ years sales or marketing experience is preferred.
  • Management experience preferred.
  • Strategic Account experience preferred.
  • E-Commerce marketplaces/omnichannel strategy experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership competencies including ability to challenge the status quo and lead change, and ability to forge internal and external collaborations across multiple levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute joint business planning with large strategic accounts, business strategy, and financial management.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of sales applications and principles.
  • Strong influencing skills to represent needs of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong judgment and balanced decision-making.
  • Demonstration of J&J Credo values.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$122,000.00 - $212,750.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).


Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

Vacation –120 hours per calendar year

Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year

Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child

Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year

Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days

Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year

Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours per calendar year
