Job Overview
The Lead Payment Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant execution of customer rebate & administrative fee payments within the Strategic Customer Programs organization. This role serves as a key point of accountability for payment accuracy, process integrity, cross‑functional coordination, and complex agreements/payments directly impacting customer trust, financial accuracy, and commercial effectiveness. The position offers high visibility across Sales, Pricing, Offer Development, Contract Management, Finance, Legal, and HCC, with opportunities to drive process improvements and strengthen operations at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end execution of customer rebate & administrative fee payment processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with approved contracts and pricing agreements.
- Serve as the primary subject matter expert for rebate & administrative fee payment operations within the Strategic Customer Programs function.
- Lead processing and validation of complex rebate and admin fee payments, ensuring accuracy and contract compliance
- Partner cross‑functionally with Commercial, Finance, Offer Development, , Contract Management, Legal, and HCC to resolve payment issues, discrepancies, and inquiries.
- Partner with Commercial, Pricing & Contracting, and Finance teams to ensure programs are executed accurately and consistently.
- Oversee rebate & administrative fee validation, approval workflows, and documentation in accordance with internal controls and audit requirements.
- Monitor payment performance metrics and identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process optimization.
- Support internal and external audits by providing payment data, analysis, and process documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of payment operations.
- Contribute to the development, maintenance, and delivery of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training materials related to payments.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field (required).
- Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
Experience and Skills
Required:
- Minimum of 4-6 years of relevant work experience in finance, accounting, pricing, contract compliance, contract management, commercial operations, rebates & payments, or financial operations.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex processes in a highly regulated environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret contracts, pricing terms, and financial data.
- Proven ability to work cross‑functionally and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, controls, and compliance.
- Experience with ERP systems, contract management systems, rebate management tools, or large financial datasets.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
Preferred:
- Experience within medical devices, healthcare, or life sciences industries.
- Familiarity with U.S. commercial contracting, chargebacks, rebates, administrative fees, and pricing governance.
- Expertise in ERP or rebate management systems including Model N (ICS)
- Prior involvement in audit support or SOX‑controlled environments.
- Process improvement or continuous improvement experience (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar).
- Advanced Excel or data analysis skills.
