Job Description:

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.​

Job Overview

The Sr. Manager, LATAM Commercial in IT is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping and delivering commercial technology strategy across the Latin America region. This role partners closely with Commercial, Marketing, Sales, and Regional leadership to enable growth through scalable, compliant, and data‑driven digital solutions. The position offers the opportunity to drive meaningful impact by modernizing commercial capabilities, accelerating execution, and improving customer and patient outcomes across a diverse and dynamic region and reports into the DePuy Synthes Technology organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the regional IT commercial strategy for LATAM, aligning technology roadmaps with business priorities and growth objectives.

  • Partner with Commercial and Regional leaders to translate business needs into effective IT solutions and programs.

  • Oversee delivery of commercial systems and platforms (e.g., CRM, analytics, digital marketing, pricing, and customer engagement tools).

  • Drive portfolio planning, prioritization, and execution to ensure timely, high‑quality delivery of initiatives.

  • Ensure solutions comply with Johnson & Johnson / DePuy Synthes security, privacy, quality, and regulatory standards.

  • Manage regional budgets, vendor relationships, and external partners to optimize cost, performance, and value.

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing regional IT team, fostering collaboration and accountability.

  • Act as a change leader, supporting adoption of new tools, processes, and ways of working across LATAM.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.

  • Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.

Experience and Skills

Required:

  • 8-10 years of progressive experience in IT, digital, or technology roles supporting commercial or customer‑facing functions.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and complex, cross‑functional initiatives.

  • Strong experience delivering and supporting commercial technologies (e.g., CRM, analytics, digital platforms).

  • Proven ability to partner with senior business stakeholders and influence decision‑making.

  • Solid understanding of IT governance, data privacy, cybersecurity, and compliance in a regulated environment.

  • Strong strategic thinking, execution discipline, and problem‑solving skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting commercial organizations within MedTech, Life Sciences, or other regulated industries.

  • Regional or multi‑country LATAM experience, including managing diverse markets and stakeholders.

  • Experience leading large‑scale digital transformation or modernization programs.

  • Familiarity with agile, product‑based delivery models.

  • Strong financial and vendor management experience.

Other

  • Languages: Fluency in Spanish and English required; Portuguese preferred.

  • Travel: Up to 25% regional and international travel.

  • Certifications: IT or project/program management certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, Agile) preferred.
