Job Description:

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.

DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a RM&C NAM/LATAM, located in Bogotá, Colombia

The RM&C NAM/LATAM role is responsible for leading and executing risk management and compliance activities across North America and Latin America in support of DePuy Synthes’ business objectives. This role partners closely with regional and global stakeholders to identify, assess, and mitigate compliance and business risks while strengthening a culture of integrity, accountability, and ethical conduct. The position plays a critical role in protecting patients, customers, and the company, while enabling sustainable growth across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead regional risk management and compliance activities across NAM and LATAM, ensuring alignment with global policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Identify, assess, and monitor key compliance and business risks, and develop mitigation strategies in partnership with business leaders.

  • Support implementation and oversight of compliance programs, including policy deployment, training, and monitoring activities.

  • Advise business stakeholders on compliance considerations related to commercial activities, third‑party relationships, and operational decisions.

  • Oversee and support investigations, audits, and risk assessments, ensuring timely remediation and documentation.

  • Monitor regulatory developments and emerging risks impacting NAM and LATAM markets and assess potential business impact.

  • Prepare and deliver risk and compliance reporting to regional and global leadership.

  • Promote a strong culture of compliance by modeling Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Finance, Law, Compliance, Risk Management, or a related field.

  • Master’s degree or professional certification preferred.

Experience and Skills

Required:

  • Typically requires 4-6 years of experience in risk management, compliance, audit, or a related function within a regulated industry.

  • Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks, internal controls, and risk management principles.

  • Experience partnering with cross‑functional and regional stakeholders.

  • Ability to assess complex risk scenarios and recommend practical mitigation strategies.

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting NAM and/or LATAM regions.

  • Background in MedTech, healthcare, life sciences, or another highly regulated industry.

  • Experience with internal audits, regulatory inspections, or compliance investigations.

  • Familiarity with third‑party risk management and commercial compliance topics.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.

Other:

  • Language: Fluent Spanish required; strong English proficiency required.

  • Travel: Up to 20%, regional and occasional international.

  • Certifications: Compliance, risk, or audit certifications (e.g., CCEP, CRMA, CIA) preferred.
