Job Description:

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.

DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a(n) Financial Analyst, FP&A Intl, located in Raynham, MA.

The Financial Analyst, FP&A Intl supports short‑ and long‑term financial planning and analysis for international business operations. This role partners closely with cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver accurate forecasts, budgets, and insights that help leaders understand performance drivers, evaluate risks and opportunities, and make informed business decisions. The position offers exposure to global markets, financial modeling, and performance analytics in a dynamic MedTech environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support short‑ and long‑term financial planning activities, including budgets, forecasts, and outlooks for international operations.

  • Prepare, analyze, and interpret internal financial information such as P&L statements, cost structures, pricing, expenses, revenues, and working capital.

  • Perform variance analysis versus plan, forecast, and prior periods; identify key drivers and communicate insights to business partners.

  • Conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis to assess the impact of business initiatives, investments, and changes in market conditions.

  • Analyze external economic factors (e.g., inflation, interest rates, foreign exchange) and assess their impact on business performance.

  • Support preparation of management reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses for leadership review.

  • Collaborate with regional and functional partners to ensure alignment of financial plans with business strategies.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by enhancing forecasting processes, reporting quality, and analytical tools.

  • Apply Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives in all interactions and analyses.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.

  • MBA or Master’s degree preferred.

Experience and Skills

Required:

  • Typically 2–4 years of relevant work experience in financial planning, analysis, accounting, or related roles.

  • Foundational knowledge of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into clear insights.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and standard financial reporting tools.

  • Ability to work effectively under close supervision while managing multiple priorities.

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills to partner with cross‑functional teams.

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting international or regional business units.

  • Exposure to financial modeling and scenario analysis.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems and financial planning tools (e.g., SAP, Hyperion, Anaplan).

  • Understanding of foreign exchange impacts and global economic drivers.

  • Prior experience in MedTech, healthcare, or a regulated industry.

Other:

  • Language requirements: English required; additional languages a plus for international support.

  • Travel: Up to 10% domestic or international travel, as business needs require.

  • Certifications: CPA, CFA, or similar credentials preferred but not required.
