Job Description:

There is an internal pre-identified candidate for consideration that has been identified. However, all applications will be considered.

Contributes to the Environmental Health & Safety team by managing a team of individual contributors and/or Supervisors and is accountable for conducting effective performance management. Develops tactical and operational plans for the Environmental Health & Safety team and supports organizational objectives and business goals. Allocates resources to meet objectives and goals of the health & safety area. Directs operations for strategic initiatives and serves as a primary point of contact for internal stakeholders.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages a team of individual contributors and/or Supervisors, and is accountable for conducting effective performance management. Develops tactical and operational plans to achieve Environmental Health & Safety goals, and communicates plans to managers, supervisors, and individual contributors. Recommends new policies and procedures to reduce occupational health and safety risks. Ensures compliance with policies and procedures to achieve the organization's goals and objectives for the Facilities Services function. Manages operational aspects of their team (e.g., workflow, performance, and compliance), as well as ensuring achievement of team goals within established timelines and budgets. Integrates Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives into Environmental Health & Safety team goals and decision making.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’ degree is required on related EHS areas, in Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, Engineering or Sustainability (or University equivalent).
  • Advance knowledge of English.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant industry experience with multiple products and KPIs
  • Experience working with regulatory compliance, KPIs management, risk management, incident investigation, audit, process safety and machine safety
  • Must have critical thinking, fact-based decision making, people development and strong collaboration and influencing skills to partner effectively at all levels and across multiple groups
