We are searching for the best talent for Director, Procurement CCPM MedTech to be in New Brunswick, NJ or Spring House, PA.

Purpose: This role will provide leadership to strategize, identify, select, manage, align & implement global sourcing & supplier management strategies and network capabilities for Capital Construction & Project Management (CCPM / CAPEX) categories, with specific focus on supporting the MedTech sector, Infrastructure equipment projects. In this role, the GCL CCPM and their team will work closely with our Engineering & Property Services (E&PS) function’s Engineering, Design & Project Delivery (E&PD) teams globally. E&PD teams lead the delivery of strategic capital projects and the CCPM team supports them as Procurement Functional / Business partners.

You will be responsible for:

Leading a team of eight (8) experienced Manager/Sr. Managers, the GCL CCPM will be accountable and responsible for approximated $1B in annual capital spend (project driven) for J&J companies in the MedTech sector. The incumbent will:

  • Develop & shape category & spend performance strategies utilizing all available capabilities & tools (category strategy, market intelligence, advanced sourcing)
  • Provide procurement leadership to stakeholders and business partners; connect resources and partner capabilities for key capital and infrastructure projects focused on MedTech, Infrastructure
  • Lead, partner or collaborate with project teams comprising internal functions (Engineering, QA, SCM, Finance, Legal) and external partners, to design & execute sourcing, supplier selection, and supplier relationship initiatives delivering optimal speed, supply reliance, safe & reliable services, timelines and total cost
  • Develop cost improvement / avoidance initiatives through category strategies, sourcing, SRM and innovation
  • Contribute to J&J’s commitment to sustainability and emissions reduction
  • Build strong & sustainable relationships with market leaders in construction and project management (Jacobs Engineering, PM Group, Schneider Electric, JCI)
  • Shape & enhance competence and capabilities of the team
  • Build a highly competent and diverse team of talents to partner effectively and efficiently with business partners

The CCPM category belongs to the Capital, Construction and Facilities Services family of categories and reports to the Sr. Director, and CCFS Category family leader. CCFS is part of the Indirect Services Procurement (ISP) organization and part of J&J’s Enterprise Procurement Organization.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree (Business, Engineering, Science); MBA or other master’s preferred
  • 10+ years relevant professional experience
  • Exposure to MedTech and/or global markets is desirable
  • Strategic procurement, sourcing, category and supplier management experience in the supply chain environment
  • Experience working with technical, supply chain and functional partners
  • Strong business and finance acumen, and experience managing impact in complex matrix environment
  • Demonstrated team leadership, partnership, and cross-functional project capability
  • Ability to engage, interact, and negotiate enhanced value relationships with suppliers
  • Experience in a regulated, complex stakeholder environment; rich influencing skills

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$150,000.00 - $258,750.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).



This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.



Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

Vacation –120 hours per calendar year

Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year

Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child

Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year

Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days

Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year

Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours per calendar year
