We are searching for the best talent for a Senior Facility Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Raritan, NJ.

Summary:

The Senior Facility Manufacturing Engineer is a key engineering role responsible for driving facility reliability, project execution, and operational excellence within a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role leads cross-functional initiatives that support manufacturing operations, utilities, and facility systems while ensuring compliance with cGMP, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate combines strong technical expertise, project leadership, and stakeholder management skills to deliver sustainable improvements in equipment performance, operational efficiency, and site readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

This role is responsible for leading and governing site-wide projects and equipment improvement initiatives to ensure safety, reliability, regulatory compliance, operational effectiveness, and cost efficiency. The successful candidate will be proficient in project management , including Microsoft Office applications, Microsoft Project, and quality systems such as Non-Conformance (NC) and CAPA reporting platforms.

  • Lead the planning, scheduling, coordination, and execution of projects to ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, and operational requirements.

  • Serve as the primary governance lead for projects and initiatives impacting the Raritan Manufacturing site, overseeing decision gates, execution readiness, and implementation activities, including site shutdowns and slowdowns.

  • Establish, maintain, and continuously improve project governance frameworks, including approval processes, roles and responsibilities, documentation requirements, escalation pathways, and execution controls.

  • Drive effective change management by ensuring appropriate change control processes, milestone reviews, and risk assessments are completed to safeguard manufacturing operations, utilities, warehouse, quality control, and production areas.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Engineering, EHS, Supply Chain, and external contractors to ensure alignment, transparency, and readiness before project execution.

  • Conduct impact assessments, resource planning, and execution sequencing reviews to minimize operational disruptions and ensure appropriate contingency and recovery plans are established.

  • Oversee project readiness activities, including commissioning, qualification, testing, training, documentation, and verification activities prior to implementation.

  • Monitor project governance metrics, schedules, and performance indicators; facilitate post-implementation reviews, capture lessons learned, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Support regulatory inspections, internal audits, and compliance initiatives by ensuring project documentation and execution practices meet applicable standards and requirements.

  • Act as the escalation point for governance-related issues and facilitate risk-based go/no-go decisions, ensuring appropriate stakeholder alignment, approvals, and documented mitigation plans.

  • Provide training, coaching, and communication to site personnel and contractors regarding project governance processes

  • Lead reliability and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, productivity, compliance, and overall facility performance.

Qualifications

Education

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required. Focused degree in Engineering (i.e., Chemical, Mechanical, Biomedical, Manufacturing/Production, or related fields) is preferred.

Required:

  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in Engineering, Maintenance, Facilities, or a related technical environment.

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment, with a strong background in cGMP compliance and documentation. Experience within the pharmaceutical or biologics industry is preferred.

  • Experience supporting operations in aseptic and/or cleanroom environments.

  • Proven project management skills, with the ability to successfully lead projects from initiation through completion.

  • Experience supporting capital projects, maintenance programs, and/or manufacturing operations.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams, including contractors and internal subject matter experts, to drive project execution and operational success.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate resources and align diverse teams toward common objectives.

Preferred:

  • Demonstrated ability to resolve complex technical and operational issues through effective root cause analysis and sustainable solutions.

  • Proven contractor management leadership experience, including directing and coordinating external resources to achieve project objectives.

  • Working knowledge of Process Excellence, Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies and tools.

  • Experience driving process improvements that enhance operational efficiency, reliability, and compliance.

  • This position supports a 24/7 dynamic biological manufacturing environment, working in mechanical spaces and on utility systems

  • Up to 10% domestic/international travel may be required

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$94,000.00 - $151,800.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
• Vacation –120 hours per calendar year
• Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year
• Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year
• Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
• Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child
• Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year
• Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days
• Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year
• Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours per calendar year
