Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Salesforce Engineer who is equally comfortable architecting solutions and writing production-grade code. This is a hands-on technical leadership role: you will spend your time building on the Salesforce platform while also setting technical direction, mentoring developers, and ensuring the team delivers to industry best practices.

You will work within a global, highly regulated healthcare environment where quality, security, and compliance are first-class engineering concerns. You will help shape how we adopt Agentforce, GitHub Copilot, and Data Cloud responsibly and at scale, and how AI-assisted tooling makes our own engineering faster and better.

Key Responsibilities

Hands-On Engineering

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable solutions across Health Cloud / Life Sciences Cloud and Sales & Service Cloud.
  • Write clean, well-tested, performant code in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and SOQL, applying sound architectural and sharing/security patterns.
  • Build and operate Agentforce and Einstein capabilities — agents, prompts, and AI-driven workflows — with appropriate guardrails and governance.
  • Integrate and model data using Data Cloud to power unified profiles, segmentation, and AI use cases.

Technical Leadership

  • Act as technical lead for a team of Salesforce developers — setting standards, reviewing code, and unblocking the team.
  • Define and enforce industry best practices across the SDLC: version control, CI/CD, automated testing, code quality, and release management.
  • Mentor and grow engineers through pairing, design reviews, and constructive feedback.
  • Partner with architects, product owners, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into well-scoped, maintainable solutions.

Quality, Security & Compliance

  • Champion platform governance, security best practices, and least-privilege access models.
  • Build with auditability, data integrity, and regulatory expectations in mind within a healthcare/pharma context.
  • Contribute to validated-systems practices and documentation where applicable.

AI-Augmented Engineering

  • Adopt and promote AI-assisted development tooling (e.g., AI coding assistants) to improve developer productivity and code quality, while maintaining responsible-AI and security standards.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, with significant depth on the Salesforce platform.
  • Expert-level Apex, LWC, and SOQL, with a strong grasp of the Salesforce data, sharing, and security models.
  • Strong command of DevOps and CI/CD for Salesforce (source-driven development, automated testing, release pipelines).
  • Experience building enterprise integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, platform events, middleware).
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across a global, cross-functional organization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in regulated industries (healthcare, pharma, life sciences), including familiarity with GxP / validated-systems practices — strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on use of AI-assisted coding tools in a professional engineering workflow.
  • Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I & II and Agentforce Specialist.
  • Experience leading repository, branching, and CI/CD modernization efforts at enterprise scale.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

  • A builder’s mindset paired with the judgment to lead.
  • A commitment to quality, security, and doing things the right way in a regulated environment.
  • Curiosity about applying AI responsibly to both our products and our engineering practice.
