The Senior Manager, Data Product Management & Governance will lead business-facing data product strategy, intake, prioritization, governance, and marketplace enablement for MedTech Supply Chain data products.
This role will help transform trusted, reusable, well-governed assets that support analytics, digital products, and AI-enabled decision-making.
The Senior Manager will partner closely with business collaborators, data product leaders, technology teams, data stewards, quality, privacy, legal, and regulatory partners to ensure data products are discoverable, usable, and aligned to business value.
Key Role Responsibilities
Establish and lead a structured intake process for product demand, collaborating with business to assess use cases, define value, clarify requirements, and prioritize work based on strategic alignment, feasibility, risk, and business impact.
Lead the business-facing roadmap for assigned data products from concept through publication, adoption, improvement, and retirement.
Translate team member clear product objectives, success measures, backlog priorities, and release-ready requirements for delivery teams.
Lead the development and adoption of business definitions, domain taxonomies, product content improving data discoverability, understanding, and reuse.
Partner with Alation and catalog team members to support a consistent, self-service data marketplace experience.
Define and operationalize data product ownership, stewardship roles, decision rights, and critical issue paths.
Partner with domain leaders and stewards to maintain business context, data definitions, documentation, access expectations, and lifecycle controls.
Cross-Functional Delivery Partnership: Serve as the primary business-facing partner to data engineering, architecture, platform, and ecosystem product teams.
Adoption, Value Realization, and Continuous Improvement: Track adoption, usage, team member feedback, and business value measures for published data products. Find opportunities to improve data product usability, reduce duplication, increase reuse, and accelerate responsible analytics and AI enablement,
People and Team member Leadership: Provide leadership, mentor, and direction supporting data curation, stewardship, metadata enrichment, and marketplace operations. Build positive relationships across business, digital, technical, and governance communities.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree, advanced degree or equivalent experience in business, information systems, data analytics, supply chain, engineering, healthcare, or a related field
Experience: A minimum of 8 years of substantial experience in data governance, data and digital product management, or enterprise data platforms, is required.
Regulated Environment: Experience working in a regulated, and global enterprise environment. Experience in MedTech, healthcare, pharmaceutical, life sciences, supply chain, quality, or manufacturing environments is strongly preferred.
Data Product and Governance Expertise: Confirmed experience with data-as-a-product practices, business glossary development, metadata management, data catalog or marketplace platforms, data stewardship, data quality concepts, access governance, and product lifecycle management.
Leadership and Influence: Proven track record to influence across business partners, Experience leading teams, resources, or cross-functional initiatives is preferred.
Strong ability to translate business needs into clear product requirements, executive-ready narratives, measurable outcomes, and actionable delivery priorities. Excellent written, verbal, facilitation, management skills are required.
Technical Acuity: Understanding of modern data platforms, semantic layers, medallion architecture concepts, data pipelines, analytics platforms, AI/ML enablement, and enterprise data controls is helpful.
Preferred Skills and Capabilities
Experience with Alation or similar enterprise data catalog, marketplace, or metadata management capabilities.
Experience developing business glossaries, data dictionaries, domain taxonomies, data contracts, certification standards, or governed data product documentation.
Familiarity with supply chain processes, manufacturing data, quality systems, product lifecycle controls, or enterprise planning processes.
Confirmed ability to define operating models, RACI structures, governance forums, and decision frameworks that scale across functions and regions.
Ability to operate successfully in ambiguity, balance strategic and tactical priorities, and drive practical outcomes in a enterprise environment.
Other Requirements
This role may require up to 10% of domestic and/or international travel based on business needs.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$122,000.00 to $187,127.50Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees and/or eligible dependents are eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
