We are searching for the best talent for the Manufacturing Reliability Technician role to be in Limerick, Ireland.


Purpose: The Manufacturing Reliability Technician provides frontline support in resolving systemic manufacturing equipment issues, improving equipment reliability, and eliminating factors that negatively impact yield, cycle time, and uptime. The role also supports the implementation of Intrinsic Process Capability (IPC) projects across current manufacturing technologies.

As a Manufacturing Reliability Technician, you will:

  • Support the design, installation, optimization, and continuous improvement of lens production processes and equipment.

  • Create, update, and publish trouble shooting guides, work instructions, and training materials for equipment and manufacturing processes.

  • Apply a structured and analytical approach to problem-solving, delivering innovative and sustainable equipment solutions.

  • Collaborate with engineering and cross functional teams to develop and implement effective trouble shooting methods.

  • Identify and lead cost reduction, quality improvement, and technical enhancement initiatives through the department’s IPC program.

  • Manage assigned projects and provide accurate, timely reporting on progress, risks, and outcomes.

  • Work closely with cross functional teams to support daily manufacturing operations and business objectives.

  • Promote and maintain a culture aligned with Credo values and Behavioural Standards.

  • Support the execution of engineering and plant strategic initiatives.

  • Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) requirements.

Qualification/Requirements:

  • Level 7 or Level 8 qualification in a relevant engineering subject area or currently working towards such a qualification.

  • Experience in a Process Technician or related manufacturing role.

  • Familiarity with equipment validation within an FDA-regulated environment.

  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge in two to three core technologies.

  • Experience supporting technologies such as 2GT, 3GT, or 4GT within the relevant Value Stream.

  • Demonstrated ability to apply scientific and data-driven problem-solving techniques to improve productivity and yield.

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.

  • Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail.
