Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delegates and supervises work performed by staff
  • Establishes and manages work schedules. Develops plans (work scope, schedule, resource requirements, and so forth) for maintenance activity execution required to meet system demands and business objectives.
  • Supervises, mentors, develops, evaluates, and coaches staff, including maintenance technicians and reliability engineers
  • Implements performance improvement plans as needed
  • Provides input to and manages departmental budget. Reviews expenses and implements cost controls to ensure budget is not exceeded
  • Obtains and evaluates bids from vendors
  • Oversees for quality and safety of work and timely completion of assigned contract
  • Interprets company policies to staff and enforces safety regulation
  • Supplies input to department policies and processes
  • Participates on special projects as needed
  • Monitors production continuously and prepares reports for management. Takes prompt action to correct deficiencies
  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
  • Responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable.
  • For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Performs other duties assigned as needed

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree is required

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in manufacturing and/or engineering is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a management level role is preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a regulated industry, such as Medical Device is preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities including confidence, transparency, integrity, innovation, passion, patience and tenacity.
  • Demonstrated strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated strong computer skills, such as the use of Microsoft Office, Minitab, and databases.
  • Demonstrates strong organizational and project management skills
  • Results oriented
  • Demonstrated positive interpersonal skills and professional interactions with coworkers.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong blueprint reading abilities.
  • Must be willing to support all production shifts.
  • Problem solving methodology hands on experience.

Preferred:

  • Experience with the Maximo Asset Management platform

Other:

  • English Fluency is required
