The Global Services (GS) Interaction Model Demand & Service Excellence team is recruiting for a Digital Business Product Operations & Testing Lead. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Product Operations and Testing, this individual will support the operating discipline and business testing responsibilities for the GS Interaction Model product portfolio.
The role will work across Business Product Owners, product managers, business analysts, technology teams, testers, experience partners, service delivery teams, and functional stakeholders to improve planning, execution, traceability, readiness, quality, and product performance. The individual will coordinate repeatable product operations practices and provide hands-on support for test planning, scenario development, user acceptance testing, defect management, launch readiness, product documentation, and post-launch validation.
This position provides the business-side coordination, standards, evidence, and operational support needed to connect product priorities with effective testing, controlled launch, and measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Business Product Operations Support
- Support the Senior Manager, Product Operations and Testing in implementing common product operating practices, standards, templates, tools, and governance across GS Interaction Model products.
- Coordinate recurring product operations activities, including planning inputs, portfolio updates, roadmap and backlog hygiene, dependency tracking, risk and issue management, decision logging, release calendars, and action follow-up.
- Help Business Product Owners maintain accurate and current product artifacts, operating procedures, support models, and performance measures.
- Prepare portfolio dashboards, product reviews, governance materials, leadership updates, and consolidated views of progress, risks, quality, readiness, and outcomes.
- Identify inconsistent or inefficient ways of working and recommend practical improvements that increase clarity, repeatability, accountability, and delivery effectiveness.
Business Testing Strategy & Planning
- Support the development and maintenance of business testing approaches, standards, templates, entry and exit criteria, roles, responsibilities, and evidence requirements.
- Partner with Business Product Owners, Business Solutions Leads, business analysts, technical testing teams, and delivery partners to define test scope, scenarios, users, data, environments, dependencies, schedules, and readiness needs.
- Ensure business test coverage is traceable to approved requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, business processes, customer journeys, controls, and intended outcomes.
- Assess testing risks and gaps, including unavailable data, incomplete requirements, environment constraints, unresolved dependencies, limited tester capacity, or insufficient regression coverage.
- Consolidate testing plans across related products and releases to identify sequencing, shared dependencies, resource conflicts, and cross-product impacts.
Test Design, Execution & Evidence
- Develop or coordinate business-focused test scenarios, test cases, expected results, test data needs, execution instructions, and traceability records.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing activities, including tester onboarding, schedules, working sessions, progress monitoring, issue clarification, evidence collection, and completion reporting.
- Perform business testing or validation for assigned product changes when appropriate, while maintaining required independence, access, and segregation-of-duties controls.
- Ensure test results and evidence are complete, accurate, reproducible, securely maintained, and aligned with applicable product, quality, compliance, and audit expectations.
- Promote coverage of positive, negative, boundary, end-to-end, role-based, accessibility, usability, and regression scenarios as appropriate to the change and established testing strategy.
Defect Management & Quality Reporting
- Coordinate business defect intake, triage, documentation, prioritization, ownership, retesting, closure, and escalation across assigned releases.
- Ensure defects include sufficient detail, evidence, business impact, severity rationale, affected scenarios, and clear resolution status.
- Partner with technical teams and Business Product Owners to distinguish defects from enhancement requests, configuration decisions, data issues, training needs, or process gaps.
- Monitor defect trends, aging, recurrence, leakage, and root-cause themes, and recommend improvements to requirements, design, development, configuration, testing, or release practices.
- Prepare concise quality and testing status updates that identify progress, risks, blockers, decisions required, and readiness recommendations.
Release Readiness & Business Acceptance
- Coordinate business readiness checkpoints and ensure required testing, defect disposition, documentation, communications, training, knowledge, support, measurement, and operational handoffs are addressed.
- Prepare evidence-based release-readiness summaries and recommendations for the accountable Business Product Owner and relevant governance forums.
- Track conditions, exceptions, residual risks, approvals, and follow-up actions associated with business acceptance and release decisions.
- Confirm that post-release monitoring, validation scenarios, support ownership, escalation paths, and success measures are defined before launch.
- Support post-release validation, issue triage, stabilization tracking, lessons learned, and transition into ongoing product operations.
Product Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Support definition and maintenance of product measures across adoption, usage, experience, quality, reliability, self-service, operational efficiency, and value realization.
- Collect and synthesize product data, testing results, production issues, service insights, partner feedback, and employee feedback into actionable observations.
- Help determine whether launches and product improvements achieved intended outcomes and identify opportunities for further optimization.
- Maintain improvement backlogs and track corrective or preventive actions arising from retrospectives, after-action reviews, defects, incidents, audits, or performance reviews.
- Promote reuse of test assets, operational practices, lessons learned, dashboards, and standards across the GS Interaction Model portfolio.
Governance, Controls & Documentation
- Maintain accurate product-operations and testing documentation, including standards, plans, traceability, test evidence, defect records, readiness materials, approvals, decisions, and lessons learned.
- Apply established access controls, data-handling expectations, environment procedures, change controls, and segregation-of-duties requirements.
- Support audits, control reviews, evidence requests, lifecycle reviews, and remediation activities related to product operations, testing, and release readiness.
- Escalate material quality, compliance, security, privacy, accessibility, operational, or release risks to the Senior Manager and accountable owners.
Partner Collaboration & Enablement
- Build effective working relationships with Business Product Owners, Business Solutions Leads, business analysts, technology teams, testers, designers, functional partners, service delivery teams, and support organizations.
- Facilitate test-planning sessions, defect reviews, readiness checkpoints, retrospectives, product reviews, and operating-cadence meetings.
- Provide coaching, templates, guidance, and hands-on support that improve product operations and business testing capability across the team.
- Communicate status, risks, decisions, dependencies, and recommendations clearly across business, technical, and leadership audiences.
- Create a collaborative, outcome-focused environment that balances delivery speed with quality, control, user experience, and sustainable operations.
