The Opportunity

Clinical leadership opportunity available in Melbourne! This role combines team leadership, clinical expertise, customer management, operational coordination and partnership with the Regional Sales Manager to support the performance and capability of the Joint Reconstruction Clinical Team in VIC. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, coaching and developing the VIC Joint Reconstruction Clinical team, building capability, accountability, high performance, and effective collaboration
  • Ensuring strong clinical support and case coverage across VIC by optimising resources, developing talent, and addressing team capability needs
  • Maintaining advanced clinical expertise in Hip & Knee Reconstruction, including complex revision procedures and VELYS™ robotic technology
  • Partnering with key surgeons, customers, and the Regional Sales Manager to align clinical resources, drive customer priorities, and support business execution
  • Overseeing clinical operations, team performance, recruitment, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance clinical education, technology adoption, and long-term talent development

About You

  • Minimum 5 years’ clinical expertise in Joint Reconstruction, including Primary and Revision Hip & Knee procedures, and proficiency in VELYS™ Robotic-Assisted Solution will be highly regarded
  • Proven ability to provide advanced clinical support for complex orthopaedic cases while driving best-practice outcomes
  • Strong people leadership capability, with experience coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing clinical teams
  • Excellent customer relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills, building trusted partnerships with surgeons and healthcare professionals
  • Skilled at coordinating clinical resources and collaborating with commercial leaders to deliver operational excellence, customer support, and business objectives

This position requires regular travel to hospitals in Melbourne Metro. All applicants must have rights to work in Australia, a reliable car and a valid Driver Licence.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes.
