Market Access professionals tackle pressing healthcare access challenges to deliver essential therapies and treatments to patients. By leading bold innovations and strategies here, we can ultimately impact patients’ lives for the better.
The Global Market Access Summer Intern Program occurs between May and August, running for 10 to 12 weeks. You’ll explore the process of bringing innovative therapies to life as you build your Market Access-related skills.
The opportunity
During this internship, you can:
- Shape strategies that deliver bold pharmaceutical innovations and medications to patients
- Gain real-world experience working on high visibility assignments across the product cycle from concept to commercialization
- Learn how we generate evidence to demonstrate the value of our pharmaceutical products to key stakeholders
- Ensure patients have access to our products and maintain treatment affordability
- Work on projects that focus on Health Economics, Pricing, Patient-Reported Outcomes, Market Access Analytics, or Health Policy
- Drive projects across one or more of the following therapeutic areas: Infectious Diseases and Vaccines, Cardiovascular, Metabolism and Pulmonary Hypertension, Retina, Neuroscience, Oncology, and Immunology
Who we're looking for
Market Access is a career path for talented minds that are deeply curious, smart and strategic.
Ideal applicants are:
- Currently pursuing an MBA, MA, MS, MPH, PharmD, Ph.D. in Economics, Epidemiology, Psychology, Public Health, Pharmacy, Health Outcomes Research, Health Services Research, or other market access related degree
- Self-motivated, team-focused individual with strong communication and analytical skills
- Driven to learn about market access, product development and evidence generation to demonstrate the value of our pharmaceutical products to key stakeholders

It is the Market Access professionals who provide the vital link between R&D and commercial operations, shaping the economic, clinical, and patient-reported evidence that will be used to provide eventual access to our innovative medicines. Our Market Access organization leverages this valuable evidence to meet the needs of key stakeholders like government payers and private insurance companies so that our treatments can be made available to patients across the globe.
