The Demand Planning Specialist — EP supports demand planning and IBP activities for Electrophysiology products for ROA (NA and ANZ). Based in Pune, this role focuses on developing and maintaining accurate statistical and consensus forecasts, performing demand analysis, and supporting launch readiness and supply decisions. The Specialist works closely with Commercial (sales, distributor services, clinical affairs), Supply Planning, Distribution and Finance to ensure product availability, reduce forecast variance, and enable regional IBP processes.
The role’s scope of responsibilities include:
Prepare and maintain statistical forecasts and baseline demand models for EP consumables and disposables.
Consolidate commercial inputs (sales orders, distributor forecasts, procedure schedules, promotions, tenders) into the consensus demand plan.
Support IBP / S&OP cadences: prepare demand pack inputs, run demand variance analysis, document assumptions and actions, and follow up on open items.
Perform root-cause analysis of forecast exceptions and demand variability; propose corrective actions to improve accuracy and reduce bias.
Generate regular and ad-hoc reporting (forecast vs. actual, MAPE/bias, inventory impact, service risk) and present insights to local and regional stakeholders.
Support launch planning: build demand scenarios, validate launch volumes with commercial leads, and coordinate with supply for staging and allocation.
Maintain and improve data quality across planning systems; support data integration from distributor and hospital sources.
Implement and automate routine planning tasks and reports using tools such as Excel, Power BI, or scripting where applicable.
Collaborate with planners across markets to share best practices and standardize planning processes.
Ensure planning activities comply with regulatory and quality requirements.

Experience in demand planning, supply chain planning or forecasting — experience with medical devices, surgical consumables or procedure-driven products preferred.
Hands-on experience with forecasting/statistical tools and strong Excel skills (pivot tables, advanced formulas).
Practical experience with planning systems (SAP IBP, Kinaxis, Oracle Demantra or equivalent) is highly desirable.
Strong analytical capability with attention to detail and ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
Good stakeholder management and communication skills; able to interact with commercial, supply and distributor partners.
