We are searching for the best talent for a Transcend: Process Manager, Global Trade Services (GTS)!
This hybrid position will be located in Titusville, New Jersey (USA). Alternate hybrid locations may be considered at other Innovative Medicine Supply Chain (IMSC) hubs sites such as: Raritan, New Jersey (USA); Toronto, Ontario (CAN); São José dos Campos, Brazil; or Bogotá, Colombia.
Transcend is a global business transformation program that will modernize our foundational transactional processes and harmonize them into one “clean” ERP as a standardized platform for growth and efficiency gains. This program will simplify the Pharmaceutical ERP landscape from 7 to 1, standardizing processes to have a cost-effective, fit-for-purpose digital backbone that will enable us to support the Pharmaceutical business with agility. Additionally, the program will remediate the end-of-life system exposure that we risk towards the end of this decade.
As member of the IM Transcend Team, the GTS Process Manager is responsible for enabling integration across the IM & J&J functions to develop solutions that support end to end (E2E) organization and requirements while maintaining the integrity and reliability of ERP template. They will participate in the integration of the trade controls design within the overall E2E business process design and integration, as well as strive to enable and standardize core business capabilities, products, and functional integration points to meet critical business process needs across the functional areas. The Manager will partner across both the IM and J&J key stakeholder groups to gain a deep understanding of as-is and future business needs/capabilities, benchmarking, continuous improvement, consistent process documentation, and product deployment through the various programs. They will apply a refined, multi-functional tool-set of business expertise, technical knowledge, and digital competence to effectively interact with a breadth of business partners and global process owners.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process analysis & design: Document current/future GTS and Transcend Innovative Medicine ERP (TIME) processes; translate business needs into standardized end-to-end process designs.
Requirements-to-template translation: Convert requirements into ERP-standard templates and workflows; produce key process artifacts (flows, Key Design Decisions, user stories, acceptance criteria).
Stakeholder engagement: Run/participate in workshops, interviews, and validation sessions; act as a regional point of contact for questions and feedback.
Gap identification & continuous improvement: Identify process gaps and standardization opportunities; monitor performance and user feedback; drive improvements for efficiency, compliance, and usability.
IT partnership & delivery support: Collaborate with IT/solution teams through configuration, testing, deployment, and demo approvals; support test case preparation and execution.
Deployment readiness & stabilization: Support issue tracking/resolution through testing and release; contribute to cutover planning, hypercare planning/execution, and site resource mobilization.
Compliance alignment: Ensure designs align with global trade policies/requirements; create trade compliance and controls documentation.
Operational documentation: Develop training materials/user documentation; draft business/operational continuity plans; create protocols and summary reports; maintain governance artifacts.
Risk/issue escalation: Surface and escalate risks, issues, and dependencies to the GTS Value Stream Leader as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
Minimum of High School or equivalent diploma/degree is required; Bachelor’s / University or equivalent degree strongly preferred
Certifications are helpful in one or more of the following: PMP, FPX, or equivalent project management; APICS; or Lean/Six Sigma / Process Excellence
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Required:
Minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience
Trade compliance and controls operational experience (e.g., process and systems, sanctions, embargos, sanctions/party lists, or other related areas)
Experience with business process design, engineering, or optimization
Exposure to Global Trade ERP systems (SAP preferred)
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Strong communication and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and business teams within a global, matrixed environment
Preferred:
Pharmaceuticals, Life Sciences, or other regulated industry experience
Proven experience with large-scale SAP ERP replacement project(s)
Experience in deploying standardized work processes, tools, and templates
OTHER:
Requires proficiency in English (written and verbal) to communicate effectively and professionally
Requires up to 50% domestic and international travel, depending on business needs and work location
Requires the ability, through our flexible work policy, to work on-site a minimum of three days each week, with the option for two remote workdays each week
