We are searching for the best talent for Purchasing Analyst II (Indirect Procurement MRO)
Responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing suppliers for all the products and
services assigned. Furthermore, he/she is responsible for the identification and evaluation of
purchasing strategies that present benefits for the company in price, quality and delivery.
Performs all these purchasing activities in compliance with the corresponding regulations.
If CSS Position: This position will have responsibilities across ETHICON and Cardiovascular and Specialty Solution (CSS) Companies Johnson and Johnson Family of Companies) including a span of multiple product platforms such as General Surgical Devices, Sutures, ENT, Infection Prevention, Electrophysiology and Surgical and Non-Surgical Aesthetics.
You will be responsible for:
Under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and loca laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:
Leads a category or sub-category of expense assigned within the business.
Analyzes the expenditure of the assigned category, the suppliers, and their segmentation, to improve the supply chain and influence the supplier base.
Recommends standardization methods of products and services to generate economies of scale.
Monitors and compares the industry information, price and best practices for the category assigned.
Maintains effective communication and manages the relationship with key suppliers using the SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) tools.
Develops the capacities of the suppliers by seeking better prices, quality, and delivery.
Monitors the performance of the suppliers based on key performance indicators (KPI’s) and their initiatives of continuous improvement and innovation.
Monitors, maintains, and supports the measurable and controls of the Purchasing area.
Participates in the processes of generation and approval of purchasing orders to suppliers.
Directs the bidding processes for the category assigned, based on the established procedures and policies.
Directs negotiations with suppliers and the signing and implementation of contracts.
Solves problems and foresees solutions to the different groups within the business.
Identifies risks and seizes opportunities.
Develops and implements savings initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
Participates in external and internal audits.
Maintains the data base and file for all the information related with suppliers, the assigned category and business.
Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.
Performs other duties assigned as needed.
Qualifications / Requirements:
Purchasing Analyst II – 2-5 years of related experience in indirect purchases of materials and services, and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Accountant, Industrial Engineer, Computer Science
Bilingual English - Spanish.
Analytical skills that allow him/her to assess risks and opportunities.
Excellent skills to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
Excellent interpersonal relations.
Certification, training and/or use of Continuous Improvement / Six Sigma tools.
Proactive.
Advanced use of MS Office and ERP systems
Business/Financial acumen.
