DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a(n) 3PL Warehouse Supervisor, located in Markham, Ontario, Canada!
Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Job Overview
The 3PL Warehouse Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient warehouse operations through daily oversight of third‑party logistics (3PL) partners. This role is accountable for execution excellence across inbound, outbound, inventory, and returns activities while maintaining strong compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
This is an exciting opportunity to influence performance at the intersection of operations, quality, and vendor management while supporting the reliable delivery of products that help improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day operational oversight of 3PL warehouse activities, including receiving, put‑away, picking, packing, shipping, and returns processing.
- Act as the primary point of contact between DePuy Synthes and the 3PL site leadership, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) are consistently met.
- Monitor inventory accuracy and warehouse execution, supporting cycle counts, root‑cause investigations, and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable quality, regulatory, and safety requirements, including GDP, GMP (as applicable), and internal procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, cost, quality, and service performance within the 3PL operation.
- Review operational reports and metrics, identify trends or gaps, and escalate risks or issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Supply Chain, Quality, Customer Service, and Planning teams to resolve operational issues and support business needs.
- Reinforce a culture of safety, accountability, and compliance across all warehouse activities.
Qualifications
Education
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: Post‑secondary education in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
Experience and Skills
Required:
- Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in warehouse, distribution, or logistics operations, including experience working with or supervising a 3PL partner.
- Demonstrated experience in supervising daily warehouse operations and enforcing standard operating procedures.
- Strong understanding of inventory control, order fulfillment, and warehouse performance metrics.
- Experience working in a regulated environment with quality and compliance requirements.
- Ability to analyze operational data, identify issues, and drive corrective actions.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment, including standing, walking, and occasional lifting of materials as required.
Preferred:
- Prior experience supporting medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare supply chains.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and performance reporting tools.
- Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen).
- Experience participating in audits or inspections at distribution facilities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence internal stakeholders and external partners.

- Language: English required; French is an asset.
- Travel: Limited; up to 10% (local or regional, as required).
- Certifications: Lean, Six Sigma, or supply chain certifications preferred but not required.
