Job Description Summary
The JJMT Transformation function is responsible for designing and realizing the future-state supply chain network for Johnson & Johnson MedTech. This function includes oversight of consolidation and rationalization actions for the global distribution network, a strategic shift toward an asset-light model, and the build-out of new, future-looking logistics capabilities including partner management, network design, systems strategy, and defining the transition standards required to sustain performance in the future state. The team operates centrally, working in close partnership with regional Deliver teams across EMEA, APAC and Americas.
PURPOSE OF POSITION
As part of the Transformation function, this role leads the Logistics Partner Management capability, defining and governing how J&J engages with 3PL partners across the global distribution network.
The position is responsible for establishing the end-to-end partner management model, including standards, engagement frameworks, performance management, and hypercare approaches, ensuring alignment with the asset-light operating model and transformation objectives. This includes ensuring that 3PL partners operate in line with defined expectations, contractual commitments, and performance targets, while enabling transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement across the network.
The role works closely with Business Architecture, Systems Strategy, Network Design, Procurement, and regional teams to ensure partner management is structured, scalable, and fully integrated into the broader transformation program and value realization agenda.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the Logistics Partner Management capability within the Transformation function, ensuring alignment of priorities, activities, and outputs with transformation objectives
Define and govern the end-to-end 3PL partner management model, including standards, engagement frameworks, performance management, and hypercare approaches
Establish global governance structures and interaction models between J&J and 3PL partners, ensuring consistency across regions and partner types
Ensure alignment between operational standards, contractual frameworks, and partner execution, in close collaboration with Procurement and Legal teams
Oversee deployment of partner management capabilities across regions, ensuring adoption of standardized approaches and consistency in execution
Provide oversight of 3PL performance, including visibility into service, cost, and operational metrics, and ensure alignment with contractual commitments and value targets
Drive escalation and resolution of critical partner-related issues, ensuring cross-functional alignment and timely decision-making
Partner with Network Design and Value Assurance teams to ensure partner-related assumptions are reflected in business cases and that partner performance supports value realization
Collaborate with Systems Strategy and Business Architecture teams to ensure alignment between partner capabilities, business processes, and system requirements
Ensure effective hypercare and stabilization of new 3PL-operated sites, enabling transition to steady-state operations
Identify opportunities to improve partner performance, standardization, and efficiency across the network, driving continuous improvement initiatives
Provide clear reporting and decision support to Transformation leadership and governance forums on partner performance, risks, sourcing stage gate and improvement actions
Build and lead a high-performing team across partner management sub-capabilities (e.g., Standards, Engagement, Performance Management, Hypercare)
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Education and/or additional training:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required
A Master's degree or MBA in Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field is preferred
Experience and functional competencies:
Minimum 10–15 years of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, or partner/supplier management, with significant exposure to 3PL operating models
Strong understanding of warehouse and transportation operations within outsourced or asset-light environments
Experience defining and implementing partner management frameworks, governance models, and performance management approaches at scale
Experience working with 3PL contracts, SLAs, and commercial frameworks, with ability to align operational execution with contractual commitments
Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives and working across global, matrix organizations
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with ability to influence senior stakeholders and external partners
Experience supporting large-scale transformation programs, including outsourcing, network redesign, or operating model shifts
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to assess performance, identify risks, and drive improvement actions
Excellent communication and executive presentation skills, with ability to synthesize complex topics into clear, actionable insights
