Job Description – Marketing Lead, Cardiovascular – Electrophysiology and Heart Recovery

Position Summary

The Marketing Lead, Cardiovascular - Electrophysiology and Heart Recovery, translates regional and global portfolio strategies into local commercial execution for Hong Kong (including special projects). The role leads product marketing, launch readiness, customer engagement, sales enablement, market development, and performance management to accelerate therapy adoption, strengthen competitive positioning, and deliver sustainable growth in a compliant, customer-focused manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial strategy and execution. Translate global and regional strategy into local product marketing, launch, account activation, clinical readiness, field tools, and customer-facing materials.
  • Launch excellence and market readiness. Drive new product and market readiness, including sales force enablement, congress activation, early-experience capture, and post-launch performance management.
  • Customer engagement and advocacy. Deploy KOL, congress, peer-to-peer, and advocacy programmes that accelerate adoption and reinforce competitive positioning.
  • Commercial performance and forecasting. Own adoption KPIs, share trajectory, activation metrics, forecasting, inventory, and CAPEX alignment in partnership with Commercial, Supply Chain, and Finance.
  • Cross-functional alignment. Partner effectively across Marketing Strategy, Education, Commercial, Clinical, Medical/Scientific Affairs, Market Access, Supply, Finance, and regional teams.

Strategic Scope

  • Electrophysiology innovation launch hub. Position Hong Kong as a strategic APAC launch hub by accelerating adoption of mapping, ablation, PFA, diagnostic, ultrasound-enabled workflows, and other new technologies. Convert innovation priorities into launch-ready plans, early experience capture, evidence generation, KOL advocacy, and scalable APAC playbooks.
  • Heart Recovery therapy development. Strengthen Impella adoption, protected PCI and cardiogenic shock programme development, hospital activation, customer education, and evidence-based value communication.
  • Market shaping and access support. Partner with HEMA, medical/scientific affairs, and commercial teams on therapy awareness, reimbursement readiness, hospital listing, account prioritisation, and customer pathway development.
  • Customer insight and competitive intelligence. Translate market trends, competitor moves, physician preferences, procedural dynamics, and account opportunities into business planning.

Key Deliverables

  • Annual marketing plan and activation roadmap for Electrophysiology and Heart Recovery.
  • Launch readiness plans, segmentation, account activation, field enablement tools, and post-launch reviews.
  • Customer engagement calendar covering congresses, peer-to-peer programmes, workshops, advisory input, and KOL engagement.
  • Product messaging, value propositions, objection handling, competitive response, and sales training content.
  • Monthly performance dashboard and structured business updates for senior leadership and regional partners.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Technology, Nursing, Medicine, or related discipline; MBA, IBHRE or advanced degree preferred.
  • 5–8 years’ relevant experience in medical device marketing, product management, clinical marketing, commercial excellence, therapy development, or clinical sales.
  • Cardiovascular, electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, structural heart, cardiac surgery, critical care, or mechanical circulatory support experience required. Clinical experience in Electrophysiology is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in product launches, KOL engagement, field enablement, market development, and commercial performance management.
  • Fluent English required; Cantonese and Mandarin highly advantageous.

Compliance and Leadership Expectations

The Marketing Lead is expected to demonstrate the Johnson & Johnson Credo and Leadership Imperatives, ensuring all marketing programmes, customer engagements, materials, events, and field activities comply with healthcare compliance, quality, regulatory, privacy, legal, and company policies.

Travel and Working Requirements

Travel within Hong Kong, Macau, the GBA, and selected regional meetings may be required for customer engagement, field visits, congresses, business reviews, training programmes, and launch-related activities.
