This role has global ownership of enterprise capabilities in the areas of regulatory compliance, customer compliance, standards, and emerging digital technologies. The position focuses on uniting the digital thread with the physical product and providing easier access to product data. This includes global responsibility for the deployment of all GTC T&LC platforms and programs – Serialization & Traceability, Unique Device Identification (UDI), Global Data Synchronization (GDS), GS1 (strategy, specific platforms & initiatives), Digital Labeling Solutions (RFID & Sensors, eLabeling, Blockchain, emerging technologies). Business breadth spans both Innovative Medicine and MedTech encompassing end-to-end functions – Plan, Source, Make, External Manufacturing, Deliver, Quality, IT, Data, Regulatory Affairs, Finance.
Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities
Product Ownership of GTC T&LC Platforms
Lead strategy, planning and lifecycle management.
Manage product lifecycle based on technology changes & business evolution.
Lead strategic and financial planning including long range financial plans and business plans.
Prioritize and develop product portfolio roadmaps.
Define and drive value opportunities jointly with business.
Develop & approve capital appropriation requests for implementations including requirements
Lead team to partner with industry groups to drive the most optimal outcomes for customers and industry.
Provide regular updates to senior J&J leaders on J&J’s performance, challenges, and opportunities.
Deployment and Execution Leadership
Lead cross-functional (e.g., IT, Deliver, Data Management, Finance, Make, External Manufacturing etc.) and cross-sector (e.g., Innovative Medicine and MedTech) teams for all deployments globally of enterprise programs with T&LC
Ensure end-to-end ownership including strategy, planning, deployment and execution.
Ensure execution of all projects with full scope and quality in time and in budget; ensure country specific project(s) scope progresses in line with project charter.
Drive global usage and alignment (through regions and countries) to enterprise approach and design templates (e.g., adoption of GS1 standards, common label formats, standard repository etc.)
Coordinate and provide business input to process design and requirements gathering (including KPIs) and user acceptance testing (scripts and test conduct).
Support global business leadership team in activities related to global strategy, tactical actions, and financial management.
Represent T&LC and Digital programs within the local business, IT, and supply chain organizations.
Promote development, utilization and expansion of new product identification, serialization and traceability capabilities to meet regulatory requirements.
Develop, align with business, and execute opportunities to leverage these capabilities to deliver value, to J&J and its partners, beyond compliance.
Own inputs to financial planning (LRFP, BP, other updates); own syndicating the budgets in regions and updates to systems (e.g., Planisware).
Lead J&J’s efforts regionally and globally with regulators (e.g., FDA, EC etc.) and industry groups (e.g., EFPIA, PDSA, PDG, GS1 etc.) to influence industry and regulatory authorities and shape regulations.
Required Minimum Education: MBA or master's degree
Required Years of Related Experience: Background in healthcare with greater than 15 years of supply chain experience
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience with industry standards such as GS1 (Global Standards organization).
Strong understanding of supply chain processes with understanding of end-to-end supply chain interactions, interdependencies, end-to-end business/IT architecture, and product identification compliance regulations.
Knowledge of Supply Chain, Finance and the IT process; Knowledge of financial valuation techniques and inputs required and how to interpret valuation output.
Ability to lead and manage large scale/global projects/systems implementations.
Ability to understand the cultural and change management requirements and impact inherent in a large, complex organizational change initiative.
Significant experience with making data-informed decisions, with concrete examples of outcomes resulting from defining and measuring success.
Comfort with leading multiple projects/initiatives.
Excellent analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills (written, oral and presentation).
Must possess ability to develop relationships and inspire confidence and trust from internal and external partners at all levels.
Strong leadership skills with ability to engage and inspire global teams to deliver results within budget and defined timelines.
A bias toward action & strong will to get things done balanced by a style that effectively influences.

$196,000.00 - $342,700.00Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.
Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
Vacation –120 hours per calendar year
Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year
Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year
Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
