We are searching for the best talent for Commercial Director – Latin America North to be based in Bogotá, Colombia.
Purpose: The Commercial Director will be responsible for the comprehensive commercialization strategy across Latin America North (Colombia, Peru & Ecuador). This role will serve as a key leader in creating and executing strategies that integrate sales and marketing activities to seamlessly align our objectives to expand patient access and improve health outcomes. The Commercial Director will play a vital role in the success of our strategy by leading the teams that form CVT Council, which is fundamentally the core cell that enables and executes our strategy to reach more patients aligned with the overall business strategy. This leadership position is crucial, as it will be a key enabler of the CVT model to add value across the organization. Acting as a pivotal member of the CVT Council, the Commercial Director will be responsible for representing current commercial needs within this forum, it will work together with Market Access & Medical Affairs fostering the development of multidisciplinary brand team leadership.
Commercial Responsibilities: Leading the Cluster Sales and Marketing teams and designing the strategy for managing the existing portfolio and for future product launches; customizing the go-to-market model for each country around the cluster in a complex matrix structure; be connected and develop a greater knowledge about the specialty care public and private markets. In addition, this professional will be responsible for having an interface with the Regional and Global team to discuss strategies and market complexities, developing leadership with the Organizational point of view influencing the market.
You will be responsible for:
- Set up and implement the Business Unit (BU) strategy based on the company's objectives.
- Identify, evaluate, and maximize new market opportunities.
- Evaluate the individual and team performance of business unit members, ensuring team productivity through internal effectiveness controls. Accountable for meaningful career development conversations and regular coaching and feedback.
- Define programs for sales, marketing, and product development to maintain a healthy, scalable sales pipeline and administer evaluation of key indicators and metrics to track execution and assess results of planned initiatives.
- Develop relationships with leaders of industry partners to identify opportunities to grow revenue and increase market share.
- Conduct business activities in compliance with ethical and legal requirements and promote a culture of compliance in direct and indirect channels. It promotes a culture of zero tolerance for non-compliance.
- Drive a culture of growth that is responsible, decisive, action- and solution-oriented, and has a strong focus on the patient and the customer.
- Preparation of pre-marketing activities for product launch in new indications and markets.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required; an MBA is highly preferred.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in the pharmaceutical industry or healthcare sector, with a strong focus on market access and commercial strategy.
- Leadership Experience: Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams and managing large-scale projects, with an emphasis on achieving commercial success. Experience managing large teams is preferred.
- Market Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the healthcare system and market access conditions in the region, alongside specific knowledge of chronic and high-cost treatment markets.
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical skills with experience in interpreting market data and integrating findings into actionable market access plans.
- Communication Skills: Excellent persuasive communication abilities and an aptitude for influencing both internal and external stakeholders effectively.
- Fluency in English is required
- This position is based in Bogotá, Colombia and requires up to 30% of domestic and international travel.
