Job Description:

The TA Activation Manager, Americas designs and implement TA programs, governance frameworks, operational improvements, and transformation initiatives devised to maximize return on recruiting investment to increase cost effectiveness of hiring process. Drives adoption of TA processes, tools, governance standards, and best practices across the region. Ensures recruiting and hiring practices are in compliance with government regulations and organizational policies and procedures in the prescreening and postemployment process. Maintains current knowledge in business, marketplace, legal and recruitment trends and requirements. Identifies and shares recruitment best practices across business units of focus.

As the TA Activation Manager, you will:

  • Translate business, compliance, and Talent Acquisition strategies into scalable operational processes, governance models, and adoption plans.
  • Lead governance and oversight of Talent Acquisition processes, standards, and operating procedures to drive consistency, scalability, and operational excellence.
  • Monitor operational performance, identify emerging risks, trends, and recurring issues, and partner with stakeholders to drive timely resolution and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for Talent Acquisition process, compliance, and operational issues, partnering with stakeholders to troubleshoot challenges, address knowledge gaps, and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Own and evolve Talent Acquisition knowledge management frameworks/assets, ensuring process documentation, guidance, and resources remain accurate, current, and accessible.
  • Lead, co-lead, or support Talent Acquisition initiatives, serving as a subject matter expert, facilitator, implementation partner, or project lead based on business needs and ownership structures.
  • Identify process gaps, root causes, and improvement opportunities, driving corrective actions through structured governance and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Manage the intake, prioritization, and implementation of process enhancements, technology improvements, and system change requests.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to design, test, implement, and optimize Talent Acquisition processes and solutions.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT), change readiness, adoption, hypercare, and enablement activities for new tools, processes, and operating models. Provide ongoing operational support by identifying, analyzing, and resolving process issues, knowledge gaps, and user inquiries, partnering with stakeholders to drive sustainable solutions and continuous improvement.
  • Lead the operationalization of regional and global compliance initiatives, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
  • Drive adoption and sustainability of process, technology, and organizational changes through structured change management and communication strategies.
  • Measure and monitor the effectiveness, adoption, and business impact of implemented solutions and initiatives.
  • Develop executive-level reporting, insights, and recommendations by leveraging operational metrics, stakeholder feedback, and performance data.
  • Facilitate MBRs, QBRs, and governance forums to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and actions that enhance organizational performance.
  • Leverage data, analytics, and industry best practices to drive insights, inform decision-making, and support strategic planning.
  • Influence and align senior stakeholders across HR, Compliance, Privacy, Legal, Technology, and business functions to advance strategic priorities and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Facilitate decision-making and problem-solving across highly matrixed, global environments with competing priorities and diverse stakeholder needs.
  • Collaborate across regional and global teams to ensure operational standards, compliance requirements, and service expectations are consistently met.
  • Represent the voice of recruiters, candidates, hiring managers, and business stakeholders to continuously improve Talent Acquisition processes, experiences, and outcomes.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and transformation.
  • Bring structure, recommendations, and clarity to ambiguous situations where processes, ownership, or requirements may be evolving.
  • Demonstrate a continuous learning mindset by seeking feedback, challenging assumptions, and incorporating lessons learned to improve solutions and outcomes.
  • Identify, prioritize, and implement automation and digital enablement opportunities that improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance the Talent Acquisition experience.
  • Leads digital enablement across teams, using analytics and technology to drive operational excellence and consistent recruiting outcomes.
  • Oversees effective use of TA systems and AI-enabled tools to improve operational outcomes
  • Responsible for managing operational aspects of their team (e.g., workflow, performance, and compliance), as well as ensuring achievement of team goals within established timelines and budgets.
  • Integrates Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team goals and decision making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Language: English, proficient.
  • Strong knowledge of North America and Latin America talent acquisition markets, including regional business practices, regulatory requirements, and market dynamics.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, Operations, or a related business function.
  • Experience in Talent Acquisition, Recruiting Operations, Talent Acquisition Activation, Operational Excellence, or related functions strongly preferred.
  • Experience leading digital enablement across teams, using analytics and technology to drive operational excellence and consistent recruiting outcomes.
  • Oversees effective use of TA systems and AI-enabled tools to improve operational outcomes
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects, change initiatives, and process improvement efforts in complex global environments required.
  • Project Management Certification (FPX or equivalent), Design Thinking, Lean, and/or Six Sigma experience preferred.

  • Project Management Certification (FPX or equivalent), Design Thinking, Lean, and/or Six Sigma application experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio strongly preferred.
  • Systems thinker with the ability to assess upstream and downstream impacts across end-to-end Talent Acquisition processes.
  • Proven change leadership experience, including leading organizational, process, and technology transformations.
  • Excellent executive communication skills.
  • Curious, adaptable, and resilient mindset with strong learning agility and the ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced, and evolving environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders, build trust, and drive outcomes across teams without direct authority.

  • Expertise using data and analytics to identify opportunities, diagnose issues, develop business cases, and drive action plans.
  • Strong facilitation and project management skills, including planning, risk management, communications, stakeholder alignment, and execution.

  • Approximately 15% domestic and international travel required, with flexibility to support virtual meetings outside of standard business hours as needed.
