Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. The Sr. Financial Analyst, FP&A Intl plays a critical role in supporting international finance leadership through high‑quality financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis. This role partners closely with regional and global stakeholders to drive financial transparency, inform strategic decisions, and support business growth across international markets. The position offers strong visibility, cross‑functional collaboration, and the opportunity to influence business outcomes in a complex, global environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities for international business units, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic objectives.

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results, highlighting key drivers, risks, and opportunities.

  • Partner with regional and functional leaders to provide financial insights that support decision‑making and performance improvement.

  • Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate business scenarios, investments, and cost initiatives.

  • Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs), variances, and trends across international markets.

  • Support long‑range planning and strategic initiatives through robust financial analysis and business case development.

  • Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, policies, and reporting requirements.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of FP&A processes, tools, and reporting.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (required).

  • MBA, Master’s degree, or professional finance qualification (preferred).

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Typically 4-6 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, finance, or accounting roles.

  • Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling.

  • Proven ability to analyze complex financial data and translate it into clear insights for business partners.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with financial systems and reporting tools.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills in a matrixed, global environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting international or regional business operations.

  • Experience in a large, complex, multinational organization.

  • Knowledge of US GAAP and/or international financial reporting standards.

  • Experience with ERP and planning systems (e.g., SAP, Hyperion, Anaplan).

  • Healthcare, medical device, or life sciences industry experience.

Other:

  • Language: Fluency in English required; additional Asian or international languages are a plus.

  • Travel: Up to ~10–20% international travel may be required.

  • Certifications: CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification (preferred).
