Purpose: The Business Products Owner is the single accountable owner for JJIM BD technology assets — including Project Activate (deployment of the “BD Intelligence Command Center”). This individual is responsible for product strategy, delivery, operations, governance, and continuous improvement of BD technologies to support accelerated deal flow and BD decision-making partnering with the technology product owner in the technology organization.
Core responsibilities
- Product strategy & roadmap: Own vision and multi-quarter roadmap for Project Activate and related BD systems; prioritize by business value and risk.
- Delivery & lifecycle: Translate BD priorities into user stories; drive releases, pilots, UAT and adoption with engineering and vendors.
- Operations & reliability: Own day-to-day service health, incident management.
- Governance & compliance: Ensure security, access controls, audit readiness and alignment with IT/privacy/compliance.
- Data & integrations: Define KPIs, reporting needs and data integrations with J&J systems where useful and appropriate.
- Stakeholder & change management: Be primary liaison to enable a seamless user experience; lead training and adoption.
- Vendor & budget oversight: Manage day to day interactions with third-party vendors, SOWs, and contribute to budget prioritization.
- Continuous improvement: Measure outcomes, run experiments and iterate to improve adoption, time-to-deal and data quality.

- Published, prioritized roadmap aligned to BD goals
- High user satisfaction and audit/compliance readiness
Decision authority
- Prioritize BD product backlog and release plans
- Recommend vendor selections and scope (final approvals per procurement policy)
- Authorize non-production testing and pilot rollouts in coordination with IT governance
Work model & screening
- Up to 5% travel; hybrid with periodic in-person stakeholder engagement
- Screening asks: examples of platform ownership, measurable outcomes (adoption/time-saved), and a concise case of a cross-functional command-center rollout
Qualifications / Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
Required:
- 5+ years product management / product owner / senior BA experience; 2+ years owning business-facing technology products
- Practical fluency with cloud architecture, APIs/integrations, BI tools (Tableau/Power BI/Looker), and CRM platforms
- Experienced with Agile practices and backlog management tools (e.g., Jira/Confluence)
- Demonstrated stakeholder influence across commercial and technical teams
Preferred
- Experience in pharmaceutical/medtech/life sciences or other regulated environments
- Prior ownership of command-center/dashboard or commercial analytics platforms

$122,000.00 - $212,750.00Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
Vacation –120 hours per calendar year
Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year
Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year
Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child
Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year
Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days
