Job Description:

Johnson and Johnson is recruiting for a(n) Senior Manager Professional Education, located in Raritan, NJ (US).

The Global Sr. Manager — Professional Education (Biosurgery) is responsible for the global delivery and deployment of MedTech Surgery professional (customer/clinician) education strategy for the Biosurgery platform. Accountable for deploying Global Curriculum Strategy for professional education in prioritized markets. This role owns critical functional processes, identifies and integrates innovative education technologies, including simulation models, and ensures clinical education programs enable safe, effective product use and optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaboration with Global ProfEd Director and global teams to implement MedTech Surgery professional education capability build focused on clinical/customer education.
  • Professional Education Needs Assessment: Identify clinical education needs and skill gaps across Top 10 markets for the Biosurgery platform.
  • Curriculum Development: Design global standards for customer-facing programs and materials, including hands-on labs, simulation, digital modules, and case-based learning.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Work with global clinical, medical affairs, and marketing to ensure alignment on education goals and clinical governance.
  • Metrics: Define and assess program effectiveness using participant feedback, competency assessments, and clinical adoption
  • Continuous Improvement: Incorporate global clinical insights, emerging evidence, patient safety data, and learning science to enhance program offerings.
  • Subject Matter Expert: Serve as an SME in the development of clinical training materials, procedural approaches and simulation scenarios (e.g., product launches, complex procedures).
  • Program delivery strategy: define best approach for program delivery by target audience and learning objective, considering strategic partnerships vs. J&J programs / training locations.
  • Global Faculty Management strategy: develop and deploy global advisors and faculty profiles to accelerate curriculum innovation and scientific differentiation
  • Recommend innovative approaches and technologies (simulation, AR/VR, microlearning, peer-to-peer) to improve clinician learning experience globally
  • Maintain strong clinical knowledge relevant to Biosurgery and current best-in-class learning practices across Global Surgery.
  • Stakeholder communication: engage with business leaders to update strategy execution and communicate issues and opportunities
  • Comply with Company Health, Safety and Environmental practices and ensure direct reports do the same (if applicable).
  • Ensure personnel and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform other duties assigned as needed.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive healthcare experience with roles in professional education, clinical education, clinical affairs, marketing/commercial, product support, or related functions; experience in surgical/operating room education strongly preferred.
  • 3 years of organization and talent management experience in training, clinical education or cross-functional roles.
  • Proven ability to understand clinical and business strategy and translate it into education solutions that support platform adoption and patient outcomes.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to motivate and manage a geographically dispersed team of professionals.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams across a matrix organization.
  • MBA or master's degree preferred.
  • Experience in working with Medical Societies and Key Scientific Leaders developing educational programs
  • Knowledge of Johnson & Johnson systems and global regions/country contexts.
  • Awareness of adult learning theory/instructional design and experience with innovative training modalities.
  • Project management experience, preferably with digital learning technologies, procedure simulation, or systems development.

Other:

  • Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Up to 40% international travel

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$122,000.00 - $212,750.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.

Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

Vacation –120 hours per calendar year

Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year

Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child

Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year

Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days

Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year

Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours per calendar year
