Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is searching for an Associate Director, US CRM AI Lead to lead the AI transformation and execution roadmap for our next generation CRM across our key Therapeutic Areas (TAs).

Purpose:

At J&J, we're reimagining CRM for the agentic era. Advances in agentic AI are transforming CRM from a static system of record into an intelligent, real-time orchestration layer for customer engagement.

The Associate Director, US CRM AI Lead will define the core business processes (such as customer engagement, call planning, account, events and content management, territory planning, customer data quality etc.) and integrate these with AI-driven intelligence and automation to ensure that CRM serves not only as a system of record for customer engagement, but as an adaptable, intelligent system of engagement, actionable insights and ultimately business impact.

Partnering closely with Technology, Commercial, Medical and account management roles across therapeutic areas, this role will lead the identification of improvements that focus on efficiency, improved collaboration and deeper customer insights. This position will report to Director, US CRM Business Product Owner

    You will be responsible for:

    • Define and own the US AI strategy for CRM. Translate business goals into AI use cases and requirements.

    • Own the US AI-enabled workflows in CRM, data requirements for AI, and user experience expectations. Accountable for the CRM AI roadmap: enhancements, simplification, automation, predictive capabilities, and new intelligent features.

    • Ensure the process model supports end-to-end customer journeys and integrates across functions (Commercial, Medical, Medical Information, Market Access etc.)

    • Find opportunities to reduce manual effort through AI-driven automation and intelligent orchestration.

    • Measure and report return on investment of AI capabilities in CRM.

    • Partner with transformation office leader to embed AI readiness criteria into the CRM implementation plan.

    • Partner with Legal, Privacy, and Compliance to define roadmap for agentic systems in regulated workflows.

    • Liaison with key global partners to obtain deep understanding of all existing global CRM initiatives and goals, to coordinate solutions across the enterprise.

    • Manage partnership with key vendors (e.g. Veeva, Salesforce) to obtain subject matter expertise to available capabilities, with knowledge of and impact to product roadmaps.

    • Manage relationships with consultant partners involved with CRM strategy and/or execution.

    Qualifications / Requirements:

    • A minimum of 8 years of relevant business experience in healthcare, analytics, data science, marketing, management consulting or related field is required.

    • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required, Master degree preferred.

    • Experience with handling budget responsibility of over $2M annually.

    Competencies:

    • Experience with CRM systems and solutions, and in managing data and reporting requirements.

    • Experience gathering requirements from user communities, translating to solutions and delivering training and change management to drive adoption with new solutions.

    • Experience integrating AI and automation, or data science into commercial workflows (e.g., next best action, segmentation, cycle planning, predictive analytics, intelligent routing).

    • Experience partnering with product, data science, and technology teams and influencing senior stakeholders (VP+ level) on trade-offs, decisions, AI adoption alignment.

    • Demonstrated, hands-on use of AI tools (e.g., Claude Code, ChatGPT, Copilot etc.) in daily workflows, with concrete examples of how they reduce effort, speed up delivery, or improve output quality.

    • Outstanding employee coaching skills and demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team.

    • Intellectual curiosity and passion to learn new things and adaptability to shifting timelines and priorities.

    This position is based in Titusville, NJ and will require up to 15% domestic travel

    The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

    The anticipated base pay range for this position is $137,000 to $235,750 USD.

    Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

    Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees and/or eligible dependents are eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)). This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.
