DePuy Synthes is looking for a New Business Development Associate Manager in Seoul, Korea.
Working closely with commercial and business development teams, the successful candidate will support the identification, assessment and execution of external partnership and acquisition opportunities in Orthopaedics and Technology, including digital solutions, across APAC.
Key Responsibilities:
Support commercial and business development teams in identifying and screening innovative technologies and external opportunities that may contribute to DS APAC growth
Coordinate cross-functional inputs and support execution of partnership evaluation workstreams in line with strategy and company values
Contribute to the development of APAC growth strategies by preparing analyses on external opportunities in partnership with Global, International and market teams
Conduct primary and secondary research on markets, technologies, competitors and potential partners to support strategy formation and opportunity prioritization
Prepare clear summaries, business cases and presentation materials for review by market, regional and global stakeholders
Support due diligence activities by coordinating information requests, consolidating findings and tracking key actions
Build and maintain market assessment, opportunity evaluation and basic valuation models under guidance from senior team members
Translate, draft and refine presentation materials, briefing documents and stakeholder updates as needed
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and selected external partners
Key Skills and Experience:
Experience supporting the identification and analysis of innovation in Orthopaedics, medical devices, healthcare technology or digital health
Experience contributing to business development, strategy, market assessment, competitive intelligence or inorganic growth projects
Experience in healthcare, medical devices, consulting, private equity or corporate strategy is preferred
Strong project coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders
Ability to communicate clearly in English through written updates, presentations and stakeholder discussions
Demonstrated attention to detail, structured problem-solving approach, ownership of assigned work and ability to deliver quality outputs
Ability to work independently on defined workstreams while collaborating across functions and markets in a manner aligned with DePuy Synthes values
Good business and financial acumen, including comfort with basic market sizing, financial analysis and business case development
Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills
A bachelor’s degree in medical device, healthcare, science, engineering, business or a related field from a reputable university
Advanced degrees or professional accreditation are a plus
Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes.
