We are searching for the best talent for Automation Engineer to support our MedTech Orthopedics business in Grecia, Costa Rica.
Purpose:
Identifies and develops internal areas of opportunities through the DMAIIC methodology and tools of Excellency in processes with the purpose of reducing the manufacturing cost of the products and continue with the culture of continuous improvement and follows up in quality and regulatory requirements comprehended in the business strategy. Administers extensive and diversified knowledge of manufacturing engineering principles and practices to a broad range of supply chain engineering project plans, as well as associated key performance metrics, goals, and objectives.
They are responsible for ensuring that all activities assigned to them is performed, keeping the expected levels of the Department. Compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) making observations and communicating them for their correction.
You will be responsible for:
In accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:
Identifies, designs and develops the necessary equipment.
Performs material tests.
Studies the processes to implement improvements.
Responsible for preparing and managing specifications.
Coordinates/ supports technicians and engineers about unusual problems.
Responsible for purchasing and designing equipment and tools that meet manufacturing, safety and environmental requirements.
Ensures effective and efficient use of project engineering tools and techniques to solve opportunities.
Participates in saving and capital projects
Responsible of complying with finance metrics
Responsible for evaluating and developing action plans for quality, safety, cost, service and regulatory compliance requirements.
Performs activities of process/product validation.
Can supervise, coordinate and technically revise the work of a limited group of technicians
Responsible of evaluating and providing feedback in a timely manner, in performance and development plans for personnel in charge.
Responsible for communicating business-related issues or opportunities to next management level
Responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable.
For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable
Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures

Qualifications / Requirements:
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
University bachelor’s degree in engineering, any specialty.
0 - 2 years in a similar position.
Preferably knowledge in the medical industry.
Experience in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) for managing, monitoring, and optimizing production processes in a regulated manufacturing environment.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
Knowledge of good manufacturing practices and documentation, preferably in the medical industry.
Experiment design
Knowledge in statistical analysis tools
Management of statistical procedures.
Knowledge of computer programs.
Oral and written communication in Spanish
Strong comprehension of standard costs and work standards.
