DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Technology Sr. Manager, SC Finance located in the USA.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.

Job Overview

This role provides senior technology leadership for Supply Chain Finance, enabling accurate financial operations, compliant intercompany processes, and robust product costing capabilities across DePuy Synthes. The Technology Sr. Manager partners closely with Finance, Supply Chain, and Global IT teams to deliver scalable, secure, and compliant solutions that support business performance, operational transparency, and strategic decisionmaking while achieving Day 1 and TSA exit separation objectives. This position has a meaningful impact on how financial data flows across manufacturing, distribution, and commercial operations including Intercompany and Product Costing processes.. This role reports into the DePuy Synthes Technology organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategy, delivery, and ongoing optimization of Supply Chain Finance, ensuring alignment with business objectives and IT standards.
  • Own and support Intercompany financial processes and system integrations, including eliminations, transfer pricing support, and cross‑entity transactions.
  • Lead solution architecture and design for SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain Finance capabilities, including Intercompany, Product Costing, Material Ledger, Inventory Valuation, Manufacturing Finance, Profitability Analysis, and Financial Planning processes.
  • Partner with Finance, Manufacturing, Planning, and Supply Chain leaders to translate business requirements into scalable SAP S/4 solutions and integrated business processes.
  • Provide technical leadership to project teams, system integrators, and offshore delivery partners, ensuring solution quality, design consistency, and successful delivery
  • Ensure systems meet SOX, audit, and data governance requirements, maintaining strong controls and documentation.
  • Lead and develop a team of IT professionals and managed service partners, fostering high performance and accountability.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architecture and cybersecurity teams to ensure solutions are secure, reliable, and future‑ready.

Qualifications

Education

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree or MBA.

Experience and Skills

Required:

  • 8–10 years of progressive experience in designing and implementing SAP Finance and Supply Chain solutions, including significant experience with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA.
  • Deep expertise in Supply Chain Finance processes, including inventory accounting, standard costing, actual costing, Material Ledger, manufacturing finance, intercompany processes, and financial planning.
  • Handson experience with SAP ECC and/or S/4 in a complex, global environment.
  • Proven ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong understanding of financial controls, compliance, and audit requirements.
  • Experience leading or influencing teams, vendors, or managed service providers.

Preferred:

  • Experience in a regulated industry such as medical devices, life sciences, or manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of global supply chain and manufacturing finance models.
  • Experience supporting system transformations or separations.
  • Familiarity with data analytics or reporting tools supporting finance and operations.
  • Strong stakeholder communication and change management skills.

  • Language: English required.
  • Travel: Up to 10–20%, domestic and occasional international.
  • Certifications: ERP, finance systems, or IT management certifications preferred.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

122,000.00 - 245,000.00 USD Annual

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
