Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. The role is responsible for end‑to‑end operational support and execution of DPS China’s tendering and VBP activities, as well as broader market access operational processes and data management.
This role serves as the national MA operations backbone, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, compliance, and continuity of all tender‑ and access‑related operational work, while enabling GAMA leadership, Market Access, and BU teams to focus on strategy and external engagement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Tendering & Centralized Procurement Operations (Core Responsibility)
Work closely with Tender / Bidding Managers, Market Access and BU teams to provide end‑to‑end operational support for:
National and provincial tendering
Centralized volume‑based procurement (VBP) projects
Collect, prepare, and manage:
Company qualifications and certificates
Product registrations and technical documentation
Pricing information (company and competitor)
Prepare tender submission materials in accordance with project requirements
Support online price submission and tender system operations
2. Documentation, Data & System Management
Manage centralized collection, standardization, and archiving of:
Tender documents
Procurement results
Pricing and winning bid information
Execute accurate and timely internal and external system data entry, including:
Tender / bidding platforms
Internal MA or commercial systems
Maintain product–system linkages (e.g. tender platforms, product master data)
Update product information in line with RA certificate changes or new registrations
3. Market Access Data Collection & Analysis Support
Systematically collect published tender, procurement, and pricing information, including competitor data
Support basic project‑level analysis and summaries, including Tender outcomes, Pricing landscape and Access trends
Provide reliable operational data inputs to: GAMA Head, Market Access Managers, BU and commercial stakeholders
4. Cross‑Functional Coordination & Execution Support
Act as a key operational interface between GAMA, BU, RA, Finance, and other support functions
Ensure alignment and completeness of MA operational inputs across departments
Support smooth execution of MA projects by ensuring readiness of all required materials and data
5. MA Operations Standardization & Continuous Improvement
Support the Head of GAMA in:
Improving MA operational workflows
Enhancing documentation standards and data quality
Identify recurring issues or inefficiencies in tender and MA operations
Propose practical improvements to enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalability of MA operations
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree or above
Business, Management, Life Sciences, or related fields preferred
Experience
3–5+ years of relevant experience in:
Tendering / bidding operations
Centralized procurement (VBP) operations
Market access or commercial operations
Experience in multinational medical device or pharmaceutical companies strongly preferred
Hands‑on experience with medical consumables tendering processes required
Core Skills & Competencies
Strong execution discipline and attention to detail
Solid understanding of China tendering and procurement operations
Good project coordination and task prioritization capability
Strong sense of ownership and reliability under pressure
Good communication and collaboration skills
Able to manage high‑volume, deadline‑driven operational work with accuracy
Proficient in standard office tools and internal systems
