Johnson & Johnson MedTech, a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is currently recruiting for an Integrated Supplier Operations Supervisor to join the Johnson & Johnson Vision Care Jacksonville, FL Campus.
The Spare Parts Sr Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring reliable and cost effective execution of spare parts operations through the day to day management of an integrated supplier model. This role is responsible for overseeing purchasing, receiving, storage, and delivery of spare parts to the manufacturing floor, ensuring consistent service in support of automated manufacturing operations.
This position serves as the primary operational owner of the integrated supplier relationship, working hand in hand with the supplier to drive execution excellence, enable cost saving initiatives, and implement continuous operational improvements. In addition, this role provides direct leadership to a small team of inventory analysts, ensuring alignment between spare parts inventory strategies and supplier execution.
The role partners closely with Manufacturing, Maintenance, Engineering, Inventory Control, Finance, and Sourcing to ensure spare parts operations are aligned with business, asset reliability, and cost objectives.
The role will be based at the Johnson & Johnson Vision Care Jacksonville Campus.
Key Role Responsibilities
Integrated Supplier Operational Leadership
- Own and manage the day to day operational execution of the integrated supplier supporting spare parts purchasing, receiving, storage, and point of use delivery.
- Serve as the primary on site interface and escalation point between Johnson & Johnson and the integrated supplier.
- Ensure spare parts are purchased, received, staged, and delivered accurately and on time to support manufacturing and maintenance activities.
- Monitor adherence to defined service levels, standard operating procedures, safety requirements, and compliance expectations.
Inventory Analyst Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop a small team of inventory analysts responsible for spare parts risk management, inventory optimization, and asset support.
- Ensure strong alignment between inventory strategies (analyst team) and operational execution (integrated supplier).
- Set priorities, provide direction, and remove roadblocks to enable the analyst team to effectively mitigate stock‑out and obsolescence risks.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and cross‑functional partnership within the team.
- Translate business priorities into clear objectives and deliverables for the analyst team.
Performance Management & Continuous Improvement
- Establish and monitor key operational performance indicators related to service, responsiveness, procurement, inventory accuracy, and execution quality.
- Partner with the integrated supplier to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across material flow, storage, delivery, and execution processes.
- Lead structured problem solving efforts related to service failures, inventory discrepancies, or execution gaps.
- Drive adoption of standardized processes and disciplined operating routines.
Cost & Value Enablement
- Work closely with the integrated supplier to identify and execute cost saving opportunities, including waste elimination, process efficiencies, and sourcing or demand signal improvements.
- Support Finance and Sourcing teams by providing operational insight into spend drivers, execution risks, and savings initiatives.
- Ensure cost saving actions are sustainable and do not compromise service levels or asset uptime.
Cross Functional Partnership
- Partner with Manufacturing, Maintenance, Engineering, and Inventory teams to align operational priorities and rapidly resolve spare parts issues impacting production.
- Support alignment between spare parts inventory strategies and supplier execution.
- Communicate operational performance, risks, and improvement progress clearly and consistently to internal stakeholders.
Governance, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure integrated supplier operations comply with Johnson & Johnson safety standards, quality requirements, and governance expectations.
- Support inventory accuracy, transaction discipline, and documentation required for auditability and financial controls.
- Participate in audits, operational reviews, and governance routines as required.
Required & Preferred Skills
Required Skills:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required; Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or a related field preferred (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing operations, materials management, logistics, or supplier operations.
- Demonstrated experience managing or overseeing third party or integrated suppliers in an operational environment.
- Prior experience leading or developing teams, preferably in inventory, supply chain, or operations functions.
- Strong execution mindset with the ability to manage daily operations while driving improvement.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship management skills.
- Proven ability to lead operational problem solving in fast paced environments.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience supporting spare parts, maintenance, or asset based supply chains.
- Familiarity with ERP and inventory management systems (SAP OR Maximo preferred).
- Experience driving cost reduction, lean, or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Understanding of manufacturing, maintenance, or automation heavy environments.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and operational reporting tools.
- Six Sigma / Lean or Process Excellence training preferred.
Other
- This position will be located onsite in Jacksonville, FL. Up to 10% domestic travel may be required.
